| Gary Moore – Empty Rooms Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| No explanation needed. Except the term Empty Rooms. It has dual meaning. Literally empty rooms - empty of the one you love or empty of love. Also it symbolizes the period of time in which you "learn to live without love" where ever that may be. | |

| Johnny Cash – The Highwayman Lyrics | 21 years ago |

This song is actually group song by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson. They got together in 1985 and formed the “Super-group” known as the Highwaymen, which recorded three albums before Waylon and Johnny passed away. This was the first track on their first album. Each stanza (each persona) was sung by a different man. What does it mean? I think it represents the continuity of man. Our resilience to death, to eradication, to continued existence. But what does the last part of the last stanza mean? "Perhaps I may become a highwayman again Or I may simply be a single drop of rain " Perhaps we shouldn't forget what we once were? In the midst of life don't forget simple things that can bring relief. |

WTF.. all the comments and no one has posted anything about the song meaning? Yes we all know this is a good song, but we don't give a shit about how you and your girlfriend fucked to this song some sunny day. This is Ozzy's vision of a better world for his children. He envisions a place where they are happy and safe. Ozzy compares this to John Lennon's "Imagine," which contains the line, "You might say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." The Beatles were a big influence on Ozzy, as they also became stars after growing up in a poor section of England. Another reference to John Lennon is the line "After all, there's only just the two of us." This is an acknowledgment of the Beatles song "Two of Us." That is what it really means.. but what does it mean to you? |

This song is pretty straightforward. It is a sweet melody about a guy (presumably) loving a girl (again an assumption). Either they are together and this is an expression of the depth of his love. Or perhaps they were once together and this is sort of an apology. Then again maybe his feelings for her have grown over time, maybe they are good friends and his feelings changed over time. Maybe they do not know eachother and he grew his feelings apart from her. Infatuated my be a strong word but it describes his feelings towards her. "Dreaming and hoping, hoping that dreams come true You're my religion, girl, I've been living for you " Really this song can mean any of the above things to you (and maybe I missed some others). It is all interpretation. |

| Johnny Cash – Hurt (Nine Inch Nails cover) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This is one of the songs I listen to when I get depressed. Sure the original NIN version was about suicide, johnny cash takes it and turns it into a song about finding a way through things that happened in the past. But it still (Along with the NIN version) make me want to kill myself. | |

Much like echogordon, this song describes my situation to the letter. I was really surprised when I heard this song for the first time. Having such strong feelings for someone and not being able to tell them, and yet having to see them day after day is a terrible sensation. "I'm gonna say it like a man and make you understand." - Boy does that hit home. Not being able to tell her makes you feel like a loser. You just wish you could say it straight up and make her understand.. without ruining it all.. rejection. Oh and the solo 2:20 into the song is just great. |
