| Sondre Lerche – It's Over Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I love the sound of this song. I believe it is because he recorded himself singing it twice and the recordings overlap. Many of his songs seem to be about loss, the past, etc. He does find ways to put an optomistic spin on it, nevertheless. |

| Sondre Lerche – Modern Nature Lyrics | 20 years ago |
but now, what does it *mean?* (now that we've gotten over his name...) I always got the impression that it was about straight vs. gay relationships. The song blatently says, "the time here is for being straight." Is this what it literally means? Well, it would make sense with the "forget modern nature" (modern nature = gay/lesbian relations). A lot of Sondre's lyrics are vague: it always seems hard to pull one concrete meaning out of his songs. "If things go right they'll have to agree" Who are they? Agree with what? |

| Sondre Lerche – Two Way Monologue Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Since he starts out with talking about his mom and dad, I feel that it talks about parental communication. It's like they're talking "two-way monologues," which doesn't include compromising. It includes voicing out one's opinion, but being oblivious to the world around oneself. The "I shouldn't have to spell my name" bit is the result of his parents being so wrapped up in their conflict that they forget everything else, including the things that matter the most such as their children. But.. I'm dumbfounded to what "turkey-free" means other than "without turkey." :P I love this song.. it's a great song to fall asleap to. |
