It seems, to me and I tend to miss the point, that it is a bit of a summr thing. Don't get me wrong I love the song and think it is about meeting someone and falling instantly in love but the lines: and meet me at quarter to 7 the sun will still shine then at this time of year makes me think they are somewhere they aren't normally, a beach house or something. And: i'll give you this picture keep it and dont be scared Doesn't it seem like one of them has to leave and he is giving her something to remember him by. also, the beginning about showing it only to her closest friends... it isn't something everyone knows about because it isn't something that can evolve. I still love the song, "your smile is the most geniune thing I've ever seen" is one of the sweetest things ever. <3 |

I agree, basically, with brightonhockey. I think it is about an underaged girlfriend who he is worried about how far he can go with. He wants her and I think the line "and whether we're supposed to or not, we still will" is about how it comes down to only them with how far they go. I mean no authority figure will know if they have sex unless her parents call the cops, so it comes down to the two people consenting. The part about summer, maybe she turns 18 and it will be okay- but maybe he is just worried he loves her more then she loves him. I love the line "I die trying just to keep myself from kissing you" This song is the best song I have heard in ages, even if what I think is wrong I love it. |
