NSync is a pop act. They make pop music. Pop music is meant to be simple and catchy so the indiscriminate lemmings have something to spin. The positive points about this song, according to MOI, are the minimally funky rhythm and the no-bull lyrics. Hypocrites or not, we've all had these words in our heads at least once in our lives. The paradox is that this friend or love interest that makes your life sunny, is stuck in misery and doesn't (want to) know how to get out of it. "Be my girlfriend" in this case doesn't mean "I want you", it means "I want to make you happy". This is the opposite of jealousy, giving rather than taking, and is one of the manifestations of sincere love. If you haven't then you should go to your classes and start a blog rather than whining here about things you're too young to have yet experienced. |

I feel this song is about mistaking lust for love, and the rejection that results from it. You get the hots for someone, in a very bad way, and suddenly you find you can't do anything without that person, yet she doesn't reciprocate and you are left to suffer. It's not malicious or sadistic, the other person is simply rejecting the unwanted love and it is never easy to do so, hence "bleeding you, bleeding me". Love hurts, even when it's fake. |

| Funny, I think this is the album I like the most. Yes, it is a little rough around the edges, but I try not to take these things too seriously. It is clearly more "pop" than the last ones, but sounds fantastic in the car, and the lyrics are easy to pick up so I can be happily headbanging on my way to work every day. Verdict: Good music. It might not be a great _album_, but it's still enjoyable on a different level and that's worth my money. | |

| This song is quite simply about bad relationships. My take on it is about a couple where one person mentally crushes the other in other to keep an iron grip on the situation, to manipulate for sex, money or plain sadistic pleasure. It happens all the time when you "love" someone but are not "in love"... in other words when you want to love the wrong person, and/or they don't love you back so they grow to hate you. This reversal will destroy the "dominated" person's self-esteem, thus preventing them from ever growing the balls to stand up for themselves and walk out. "How should I feel" represents the oppressed person whose feelings are found to be wrong, built on fake love, so they need to flush their assumptions out and start fresh. | |

Yay it's good to be the "bad" guy, even though 9 times out of ten you get your lights punched out and your car scratched end-to-end. I am still a tad confused by the last part, about rumours being unbeknownst to "her". Does this mean the "other guy" never told "her" how he feels, even though everyone else knows/sees it (which would be very bad for our hero) ? |
