SFDisturbed hit close to my meaning. I think it's about my gf, saying she's gonna "convert" me as far as my taste in music, but I just laugh and say good luck. |

undisturbed, you're absolutely right. Korn played the song, but it's Draiman behind the mic. JD doesn't sound like that at all (what were u all thinking?????) |

God, I love this song, even if it is overplayed. I'm one of those people who went out and started to study German just to understand Rammstein! |

Yea, I think the meaning is pretty straight forward. Have you heard the song? It's awesome, man. If you haven't, you should go to the store and buy the cd right now (or download it, but the damn corporate people say that's wrong). |

I think SmilingEmoKid hit it on the nail. In fact, this is almost exactly what manson himself said in an interview about a year ago. The song is about how society views us (I'm assuming that nobody here is a politically correct, well-mannered member of society) when we're just having fun being ourselves. |

I agree, this song is about politicians declaring war on people from their comfortable chairs knowing that they're not going to die. They treat the soldiers like numbers, not people. My brother just got sent to Fallujah to irradicate "terrorists" who don't desire "the blessing of democracy"(an utter crock of shit if you ask me). |

I totally agree with southernrocklive. I think the song is about all those things that you want to do, but can't for some reason or another. |

God, what happened? I mean you go from songs like "Get Inside" to this. Did they go soft? It's still a great song, but I think it's amazing how different their songs are from one another. |

Some balls are held for charity
And some for fancy dress
But when they're held for pleasure
They're the balls that I like best
...Holy shit dude.
This is a damn awesome song, I love letting people listen to it because a lot of them don't see the first meaning, the one about ballroom dancing. |

Great song!!! I think that something about racism can be drawn from it, but I think when he says "You say you want to be like me, Well boy let me tell you, you didn't know what I've seen." relates to how some people hear some kind of music, start acting like the social group that listens to it, but can't relate to it at all. We call them posers. Seeing how Lajon is black, he's trying to say he's being himself and not just in a rock band because he thinks it's cool. |

I've never seen/read "Johnnie Got His Gun", so I'll have to take your (those of you who have seen/read it) word for it as far as that meaning goes. But this song reminds me of World War I. With the new shit like artillery and gas, nearly all of the veterans who returned alive were completely insane. I think the "landmine" could be interpreted as whatever it was that made them lose their mind.
Landmine Has Taken My Sight
Taken My Speech
Taken My Hearing
Taken My Arms
Taken My Legs
Taken My Soul
Left Me with Life in Hell
I think that the physical wounds left by this mine could also be interpreted as the mental wounds that these soldiers suffered as a result of shell shock. |

| Trapt – Still Frame Lyrics

I think that a good way to describe this song is a line from "Only God Knows Why" by Kid Rock. In the song, he says "I feel like number one, yet I'm last in line..." The song refers to the lack of direction in our lives.
" A small reflection on when we were younger,
we had it all figured out 'cause we had everything covered'.
Now we're older it's getting harder to see,
what this future will hold for us, what the fuck are we going to be?"
When we're little, we think that life's going to be easy, you go to school, get a job, and you're happy. But as you get older, it's not uncommon to have times when you think you've made it, but you realize that you're not really happy. The whole cycle of false success and failures is the "Still Frame." |

gabelogan99, there are a ton of songs in which the title is not a word in the song. Anyways, have you guys seen the video? I think it pretty much sums up what the song means to me. Every day, people give us shit, and we have to take a lot of it because we can't retaliate the way we want to. This song is about that little voice in the back of your head telling you to kill them all. So, I guess this could relate to serial killers. |

this song's about me :)
I think that the song is about a young man whose standards are too high. a lot of ladies he's met could be his, but he either thinks he can't get with them or there's something about them that's not quite perfect. so he always chases the women he can't have (married, higher up on the popularity ladder, etc.) |
