Ok this song is just one big "fuck you" to rock stars and celebrities . Julian is talking about how he is sick of the celebrity culture and the shallow relationships that come along with it. The video is making fun of the music industry and shallow people who only care about sex. Thank you and goodnight. |

Taking Back Sunday got Ten times better on Where You Want to Be. Since the lineup change, they are musically better lyrically better, more creative, everything. I don't understand everyone's attachment to TAYF, its an ok album, but definitely overrated. Am I the only one that thinks that TBS is way better now?? Where You want to be was an incredible album and I think that Make Damn Sure is definitely a step in a good direction. This song is pretty classic TBS but has a little bit of a different feel, and I think that "Louder Now" as a whole is destined to be there best, most creative work to date. |

In the book FAHRENHEIT 451 by Ray Bradbury. The main charcater Montag feels as if he is on the verge of "falling off of the cliff". A cliff of ignorance because it is a society of people who do not read and do not form opinions so as to stay happy or CONTENT at all times. Floating face down because they are not looking at the sky full of bomber jet's constantly flying over to battle their constant war. Defintitely read this book, you will see multiiple parts in it that have been referenced by Dustin in various thrice songs. |

I know this is song is probably a reference to the greek myth but i would just like to quote some lines from the book FARENHEIT 451 by Ray Bradbury. When Montag's house is being burned for having books, captain beatty says, "Old Montag wanted to fly near the sun and now that he's burnt his damn wings, he wonders why." Bradbury was also probably refferring to the greek myth but I'd like to point out that thrice has two other songs with possible FARENHEIT 451 references: See you in the Shallows and Hoods on Peregrine. |

Blatant 1984 reference.
"We are the dead" he said.
"We are the dead" Julia said.
"You are the dead" said a voice behind the iron curtain. |

I think this song is yet another thrice reference to the book 1984. In the beginning of the book, Winston feels that he is alone in his beliefs that the Party is bad, but then for a split second his eyes meet with someone elses and believes that he might not be alone after all. Just thought i'd give a different take on the song. |

This is by far the best Strokes song in my opinion, they truly capture the essence of the velvet underground and sixties protopunk. People criticize the strokes for being too repetitive and sounding the same, etc. but there isnt another band out there that sounds like them. I cant wait to see what they do on their third album. |
