yeah, M Shadows can't scream anymore at all...unless he wants to lose all of his voice. I read it in Revolver. I was kind of upset, but I think it will make the next album a little more interesting. I want to see how the band deals with this liimitation. |

well still going with my interpretation, that line about time soaked with blood would have to do with losing out on the time the two would've had together. perhaps being "soaked in blood" has to do with the crime itself - perhaps murder? Thats all i can come up with. |

i always loved this song, but never really knew what it was about until today. i knew it had to do with love and seperating and all. i think its about someone in love but is being split from that person cuz they committed a crime. look at the lines:
"When sin's deep in my blood,
you'll be the one to fall. "
and: "But being the one on the stand,"
that is the stand being the one someone takes at court. i don't know what everyone else thinks, but it makes sense to me. i dont think i explained very well |

could this be about speed? thats what i think when the song says "my pulse won't stop racing just as my heart explodes". the only reason i thought of this is because in a magazine Sum 41 was talking about what they did before shows. I think it was Stevo that said they couldn't get drunk before a show so they'd just do tons of speed. i mean they could've been joking, but just as easily true. this song certainly seems to show at least one of them did. |

its nowhere near a complete rip of a place for my head. besides the fact that they have similar subjects, they sound nothing alike. sure there's that "take the best of me" part but that would be the only part that could be ripped. i doubt it is though, as its only one line. |

yeah i definitely feel like its about feeling like you can't make a difference and being helpless. but when it says "someday I hope you have it all" i feel like he's talking to those who are unknowing or blind to everything and seem happy. kinda like the saying ignorance is bliss. thats just what i think about it though. it took me awhile to come up with that interpretation so i could be going way off. |

what do u mean he lipsynchs? if ur talking about the video, then of course it looks like he is lipsynching. in all music videos except live ones the song from the cd is just taped over the music video. then the artist just mouths the words or can actually sing them but not for the video. the quality of the sound would decrease if bands actually performed the music while filming the video. |

This song is so funny. Whats even funnier is that i put it on a cd with a bunch of other christmas songs. Then i left the cd out and my dad found it and put it on while they were decorating the christmas tree. Fred Durst actually directed the video for this song. I love Korn but I don't like Fred Durst at all. Thankfully though, Durst did something right with this video. I never saw him in the video though. I'll just have to look closer next time. Oh and this the best Korn song ever. Suicide is an issue that really strikes home with me. This captures the feeling perfectly. |

I first heard this song and I immediately knew it was great, though definitley different for Disturbed. I agree it is talking about God. To me it sounds like it is about questioning his faith.

I do have to admit that though I love Trapt, they do try a bit too hard in their live act. Especially the singer, like in the video for Still Frame when he jumps up and does a Matrix type move while supsended in midair. I also watched them perform live on tv and some of the singers movements are weird, though I don't think its trying to be metal. Though I listen to metal, most of Trapt's songs are rather soft and nothing near it. Many of them don't necessarily involve relationships either. And yes, Fred Durst definitley sucks. You don't even want me to get started on that loser. |

Of course it has deeper meanings. Pretty much all of Metallica's lyrics do. Thats one reason why they are so awesome. And it just doesn't fit Metallica to write a song that just tells a simple story anyway. Even their music today isn't that simple. |

I just don't get it. I come to this site and the freaking title is SongMeanings. But then it seems like in every forumn for a song, it comes down to whether the band and the song suck or not. I personally listen to pretty much everything rock. Therefore I respect any other persons personal music tastes. People here should have the decency to stay within their own personal tastes of music so that some actual discussion on music can take place. So anyways, I love this song. This song made me want their cd which actually surprised me in how different it was but was still awesome. I've seen the US version of this video, I have one question - What purpose do the feather's in the guy's hair serve? There's nothing wrong with it or anything, it just looks a little weird. |

I don't know about everyone else, but I always thought it was about someone being abused and growing up to do the same, hence the name "Replica". While I see how they use rape could be why everyone sees the song about abortion. I think they use rape to mean how this someone by being abused is being "raped" of their future by being turned into an abusive person. Of course, this is just my interpretation. |

I thought at first that maybe the comparison between this song, which is We're all to blame as i'm sure some have forgotten, and chop suey. when i read this i immediatley put in my SOAD cd. Really they don't sound alike at all. Chop suey is much faster and harder and the vocals are totally different. The only thing even a little similar is the slower parts of chop suey which sound a little like sum's song, but not enough to claim that they stole it. Anyways, this new sum song kicks ass. It really is a step up from their last album. |
