Although I have my own opinions about this song, it is bullshit to claim that hip hop and rap artists only produce meaningless music. There is plenty of meaningful hip hop and rap music just like there is plenty of meaningless rock music. And I like both rock and hip hop/rap. |

I'm a dude, but Josh Turner is beyond amazing. This is by far my favorite song of all time, has been since it came out. This guy can sing.
This is the quality and caliber of music that should be played on MTV/VH1, not that half assed garbage we all hear so much of. |

This is probably really similar to what someone said before. I'll give it a shot at explaining the whole, "if young love is just a game, I must have missed the kickoff" thing.
A lot of people think young love like high school and stuff like that is a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously which in many cases is true and many cases isn't true (like my case). He's saying he doesn't think it's a joke and takes it seriously in a smart assy kind of way when he says he missed the kickoff.
I literally moved into my dorm room 3 days ago and my girlfriend is going to be a senior and I miss her terribly. She's pretty much the only reason I'm homesick. I actually did give her a corny/sappy mix tape the day before I left with this song on it. |
