i always interpreted this song as one of those relationships where u have serious chemistry and the whole world thinks u should be together and you've kissed at least once ('still a little bit of your taste in my mouth') but no-one will talk about how they feel about the situation...and the song is from the perspective of one of them...asking 'what's going on?...it could be unrequited, but the person singing knows they feel something towards the other..but are too shy to ask the other what is happening. speaking from experience...it's bliss...but it hurts like hell. |

| This song is so appropriate to when you're in a friendship with someone and they suddenly change, something happens and you feel like you don't know them anymore, they irritate you, "i am bottled fizzy water and you are shaking me up"...i.e. getting on his nerves or something and he's going to explode. it's when a friend (i don't think it's romantic) becomes so consumed by narcissim, but you get that it's probably just a phase, you keep sane because it will probably pass "my only consolation is that this could not last forever". and while you know it will most likely pass, it's so incredibly frustrating cause you don't know when the old person will come back eventually. or i hope he will... | |

its about the girl on the holiday, thats been established by adam himself. but i see it as a guy who is 'iffy' about starting a relationship, like theyre totally in love but theyre in denial, because of the consequences(whatever they may be) and he gets so confused and frustrated about it and (when the music gets softer) he just cant help loving her so much, and he loves everything about her,"every time she sneezes i believe its love". hes so torn between whats convenient/logical and the love he knows is real. my favoourite line is "every word is nonsense but i understand", (and if you knew me you'd know why), its just so perfect for one of those on-again off-again relationships. |

this song makes me so...i dont know what you would call it....like regretful of the things that could have been, like if this guy i used to know played this for me it would perfectly fit in with our story, the person this was written for is the luckiest person alive, the lyics make me want to cry. the part where he says "Sometimes a man gets carried away, when he feels like he should be having his fun And much too blind to see the damage he's done Sometimes a man must awake to find that really, he has no-one" i think it means that he never told someone how he felt about them, and left it too late, or thought that he just wanted to 'have his fun', then realised that all he really wanted was this person in his life, and its so heartbreaking, to know that their love died because the man was so stubborn about it. its like he is apologising for this. i'll never get over this song, its so powerful. its kind of a message to all people, like 'dont leave it too late, or always tell someone how you feel, no matter what. |

this is such a powerful, emotional song, i was screaming along with the lyrics once, and i was so emotion driven i almost cried. there are some great lines in this song; Only want you and I'll bleed Only for you. and It's hard to be strong When I crave you like I do i love this song soo much, its a great song for someone who is frustrated over someone they love. the pacing of the lyrics between the music is awesome too. this is one of their best songs ever. |

When i first heard this song, my grandpa died that morning, and while my family was out together, i had to stay home coz i had a huge assignment due the next day and couldnt get out of it, this song got me out of shock and really helped me cry, just to let it all out 'may your smile shine on' is such a beautiful line, it pushed me to be accepting. 'you'll never change whats been and gone' it helped me accept death aswell, something i had never really experienced either. |

| i think this song is about someone who is obsessing over...or is dwelling on a relationship, like 'sleeping with ghosts' is basically sleeping with someone who isnt there, or who is not there anymore. the line 'soulmates never die' represents the fact that the person believed this statement, and even though the person was dead, or the relationship was over, they were still soulmates. | |
