This song to me sounds like he is getting bored with everyday life, and his woman is becoming unhappy with life as well. All he keeps doing though is going to work, coming home, going to bed, going to work... So eventually he comes across a 'bitter love affair'. After having the affair he realizes that he is going to go 'no matter what goes wrong, I’ll be moving on'. He is going to stick with the affair because he already knows that he is 'having trouble keeping hold of my lady sleeping next to me.' He is going to spend a Delicate Few with this affair. He is loathing his life and the affair is there for him, also, what he is missing is the affair loungin’ on the log right next to him. If this is what the songs meaning is, I think it is horrible, but that doesn't matter. People go thru times like these in their lives and make bad decisions. Sometimes the bad decisions seem right and are easier to deal with at the time. |
