"you're solid gold; I'll see you in Hell" God this is one of the best lines ever. It's so simple and yet it's so... full.
Josh Homme is Teh Man. And yes, I agree with most comments here. Suicide caused by a non-returned love. |

People this was not even a cover. They were just fooling around. They said in the show that they didn't even know how to play the song. Krist's singing was bad on purpose. Yeas it's Krist singing, if you doubt, listen to Gypsies Tramps and Thieves cover and compare. |

It isn't, because they played milk it in the same session, in Rio de Janeiro. That version on Milk it appears on the box as well as this song |

Yes I know it says that. But that info is old. Chad said later that is "hold it in your gut", and he was a member of the band so I believe his word. Also if you hear the 89 studio version of the song you will hear clearly "Hold it in your gut" |

The song was released as "Misery Loves company" in bootlegs. Looks like "Don't want it all" is the real name of the song. Or maybe not. |

Come on. The Vaselines version is great and soft. Nirvana's version is rough and very cool. Both are great. |

I just say: If you don't like There are two things you should do:
1º - Don't post it, because no o ne cares about what you think about nirvana, you should try to explain the meaning of the song,
2º - Don't insult. Who the hell do you think you are to decide what's good or not? You are nothing. Absolutely nothing,
And Zanbrodak: very clever of you to say that due to the fact that Nirvana reached the greatest of their sucess in 91 92 (and I know what im talking about) and in 94 when Kurt died, his death was remembered for some time but soon forgotten. It's very hard to see a nirvana song passing on tv nowadays so Kurt's death wasn't the major factor of nirvana's sucess. |

What the hell... The Lyrics I posted were from the box set version and the ones up there are from another version. I don't know what troubles you but really... And what the hell do you know about the ppl that post here to call them rookies? The two versions here posted are pretty accurate so next time you call us rookies think twice. |

Robbie Williams? Ok I respect your opinion. And you would be surprised if you knew me because I don't look like a 'mosh/goth/grunge', I don't think life is unfair and I don't do drugs or even smoke. And yet I listen nirvana cds and bootlegs for about 8 or 9 years. And Kurt didn't sing just about drugs. I think that not even half of the songs talk about drugs. That's just foolish interpretations of their songs. I'm just saying that this conversation is unnecessary in a nirvana song topic. You can talk whatever you want in the Robbie Williams section. |

Look I don't really care if you don't like nirvana. But why do you have to post it and say they suck and they're depressive and all that crap? If you don't like it, then don't listen. I don't think I am the one that has to grow up. I don't think that if you don't like nirvana you should be killed. It's ridiculous. But you also can't insult the band and their fans, after everything Nirvana gave to the World of music. True passoin and feeling. You can't say that they weren't good. |

I think this song talks about a ruined relationship. "In your eyes I'm not worth it". So Kurt responds with "Give me back my alcohol". I'm not really sure it's not very easy to find a meaning.
This is really one of my favourite songs ever |

Does Kurt really says "you know you're right" in the live version? Because all I can hear is "you know you're". It may sound silly but listen for yourselves. Remember I'm talking about the LIVE VERSION |

It's funny how you call nirvana overrated because they play simple songs or because they had drug problems. If it's so damn easy why noone else did it? And almost all the rock bands had drug problems too. Kurt was original, creative and different and music needs musicians like him. Nirvana was Nirvana and they were unique and brilliant. |

Kurt said that "gouge Away" from the Pixies inspirede him for that song. I just can't find anything in common between them, besides the fact that are two great songs. And I really don't think this is the best Nirvana song, but back in 1991 this song was something never heard and had that powerful sound and rage that was perfect. It still has that power |

These are the lyrics for the box set version:
Neither side is sacred
No one wants to win
Feeling so sedated
Think I'll just give in
Taking medication
Till my stomach's full
Neither side is sacred
Crawling in the hole
The grass is greener
Over here
You're the fog that
Keeps it clear
Re-inventing
What we knew
Taken time is
All but true
You're the reason
I feel pain
Feels so good to
Feel again
Neither side is sacred
No one wants to win
Feeling so sedated
But I can't give in
Taking medication
Till my stomach's full
Feelin so sedated
When I'm in my home
The grass is greener
Over here
You're the fog that
Keeps it clear
Re-inventing
What we knew
Taken time is
Weird but true
You're the reason
I feel pain
Feels so good to
Feel again
Oh (home?)
It's funny how these lyrics have nothing to do with the ones that Kurt used to sing live. He really liked to change the lyrics for the songs |

I don't think so. Chad already comfirmed that Kurt never sang "born in a junkyard" in this song, not even in live performances. That is just a bootography misable.
<<"Born In A Junkyard" was a bootleg title likely based on a poor recording as there is no proof that he actually sang that phrase. Even to this day, many people know exactly which song is being described when this title is used because it was widely accepted/used until Chad Channing commented on the "hold it in your gut" lyric.>> (digital nirvana quote) |

You downloaded it? How did you do that if that song hasn't surfaced yet? It's all fake shit. There is not even one bootleg that contains that song. You can hear a song with that name in the fake fecal matter tape. |
