To me this song is basically him wondering why he chose the path he did. He's obviosly questioning why when he does everything right to his ability, and everyday seems to be the same and nothings changing (But I'm still right here, givin' blood, keepin' faith and I'm still right here). But he won't turn back because hes waiting for the time when he reaches self-realization or extacy. Though i guess no one will ever know except for Maynard. |

i was gonna say the same thing as bleadingvault... the whole cd has a spiritual undertone... so it really wouldn't make sense for it to be on the lateralus album... i do think it does have a sexual undertone though, the way he talks bout it sucking him dry and hoping they choke. kinda like they r only together for the sexual pleasure then after that theres nothing left. |

i agree with Pushit117.. the song seems like theyre trying to force him what to do. and that people take the lyrics too seriously.. and try to force their ways onto him, so he's kinda giving a big f*ck you to them, he'll do what he wants. |

I believe this song is about someone raping a child.. then going to jail and having same thing done to him.. hence the "I've come round full circle." I don't think this is on a personal level though (him being raped or whatever), it seems to be more of the who aspect of what goes around comes around, so be careful what you do. |
