Faith No More – Surprise! You're Dead! Lyrics 21 years ago
I honestly think when Mike wrote the lyrics to this song, he just wanted them to really go with the music, which I think is achieved. No particular deep meaning.

Faith No More – Falling To Pieces Lyrics 21 years ago
Great song. I think it's about those times in your life when you're absolutely frustrated and everything seems to be going wrong, but most of the time it's your inner demons causing this, as everything around you is ok. So on a personal level you are torn, but your surroundings are great, and I think that's what Mike's referring to by being in between.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Fortune Faded Lyrics 21 years ago
It's an awesome song... Honestly, I think it's about Anthony's drug abuse (I know it's cliche, but hear me out). "The medicated state of mind you found is overrated" refers to the altered state of mind of being high. "You saw it all come down and now it's time to imitate it" can refer to Anthony witnessing people dying because of the same thing he's doing (like Hillel, and John almost), and still doing it. Words like "altitude" and the phrase "in love and elevated" speak once again about being high, however, his fortune would have faded at some point.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Blood Sugar Sex Magik Lyrics 21 years ago
By the way, I think all four words of the title are related to sex... Blood, obvious... Sugar, this is the hardest, but I'm guessing it refers to how sex can be a very sweet thing... Sex, obvious... Magik, it's pretty magical too!

Completely a sexual song. I think it's about all the aspects of sex, not just virginity or menstruation, but everything. I look forward to having sex with this song ; )

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Aeroplane Lyrics 21 years ago
I think you're all right... This song is about Anthony's drug use, and it's relationship to music. Phrases like "pleasure spiked with pain" and "overcoming gravity" are obvious references to getting high, and "Music is my aeroplane" shows how for him, music complemented his getting high (as it does many people).

By the way, Flea mentioned that he heard a chorus of a song that said "Jesus is my aeroplane", and that's where they got the idea.
