I find it interesting, even amusing that Silent Cry is the name of a video released that was recorded durring an abortion. A colegue of an abortionist asked if he might tape an ultrasound durring the abortion. As the doctor (contradictory term) ripped the baby's arm off, the ultrasound (real time) showed the baby's mouth open wide in apparent angiush. No sound, only the silent cry of a helpless child being torchered and slowly murdered. One of the worst offenses I can imagine. And it is legal - that is what is messed up - not POD's music. Much love to all of you. I have love for all of you because the love that Jesus had for me is now in me and overflows. i get irritated at times with what some of you say, but hey, we are all the same in many ways. Babies inutero breath amniotic fluid. It is practice for them for after they are born. It builds up thier breathing muscles. As far as POD's music talent, Ithink they wrote this song as a short piece - a statement. Besides, I have heard worse. And hey, they are not singing about suicide or victomizing others. The fact that they sing what they want, regaurdless of the what people think, makes them hardcore by definition. Go P.O.D. !!!! Raise the roof. Shout Jesus unashamedly at the top of your lungs. My favorite. True practicing Christians are outkasts in every way on earth, to the world, to many church members, to many family members... Somehow, this song impresses upon me that the Christian life, with its rewards, peace, security, love, fellowship, relationship with a loving God, victory, and even hardships is worth being shuned by the people around us. It is the most exciting life imaginable. Adventure and challenges. Battles and victories (more than a few defeats too in my case). It is great. |

| Why hasn't anyone posted about this song. These guys are fighting for righteousness. Very encouraging to know Christians do not have to be timid. We are to be meek - ie power under restraint. Not timid. I am disapointed itn the false cultural Christianity that leaves out too much of Jesus. Jesus was awesome on earth and is now. He is gentle and kind too, of course. Has anyone read the book "Wounded Spirit" by Frank Peretti? It deals with this issue as he was abused in school. He talked about his story and brings out many interesting ideas, such as; the strong should use their strength to protect the weak, it is not ok or normal behavior for one kid to harm another either physically or verbally, and everyone (even the stronger kid) goes through self esteem issues on some level. The old saying, "kids just do that" is not true. Maybe it is an excuse not to get involved. Anyway, it is a cool book! |

I've been there. I am still there. I have a few things left that I do not want God to change, take away, or interfere with. Too much of me. True life comes with total surrender to the One who offers new life and, by the way, gave us life. The tricky part is that I want to hold on to what I have rather than droping everything to take hold of something much better. Me me me Truth is, it is not about me. I was created by Him for His purpose. I will be the happiest fullfilling that purpose because I am made specifically for it. All this searching for fullfilment, in every way but the right way. It all hinges on surrender. So many Christians call themselves Christians because the accepted Jesus' forgiveness. More follows. What was left out of the good news when I first heard it was the part about surrender. Jesus gave His life for me and so I am compelled out of thanksgiving and love to give up my desires and my life for His purpose. Life would be much more exciting with a purpose; adventure, danger, victory. Instead, much of my life now is an endless cycle of guilt and forgiveness. I know this post is way preachy.
