| Pink – Glitter In The Air Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I cried the first time I heard this song. When I hear this song, I remember the first time I fell in love: breaking down walls and letting yourself be vulnerable enough to let someone in, pushing through your fears and facing the fact that giving yourself to someone else & hoping you receive all of them in return might or might not be worth the risk in the end. It's scary & exciting all at the same time. It's an incredibly beautiful song, and I feel all of those feelings everytime I hear it. |

| Mat Kearney – All I Need Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Weird, because the first time I heard this song, I immediately thought of Hurricane Katrina, with it's references to shaking walls, rain, and water...then I had to come onto this site to see what it really meant. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Lover, You Should've Come Over Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is number 1 on my songlist of "Hopeless Heartbreak" songs. "Morning Theft" is my number two. Too beautiful and torturous at the same time. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Morning Theft Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song means more to me than anyone will ever know. My secret. | |
| John Mayer – Daughters Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I can relate to the guy's point of view about trying so damn hard to repair whatever is wrong, but coming up empty handed, because there's something inside her that is immobile and fixed that he might never be able to overcome.... There are ultimately two kinds of girls that are 'created' when there's an absence of a father: there's the kind of girl that yearns/needs that male attention and she'll get it any way she can, and there's the other kind of girls that are so used to the absense of a male in her life, that she pushes all of them away and puts a guard up. John Mayer described the latter to a T... |

| John Mayer – Covered In Rain Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Yeah, the lyrics are alright (as usual for mr. mayer) but the extremely long guitar solo(s) is what makes this song my favorite by JM. When you hum the guitar parts like you would song lyrics by heart, you know you've got a problem. Give it up to the guy with the 9 minutes and 30 second song...wooohooo!!! | |

| Jimmy Eat World – If You Don't, Don't Lyrics | 21 years ago |

| Jimmy Eat World – Kill Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
"Could it be that everything goes round by chance? I only want what I was always meant to be You kill me, you always know the perfect thing to say I know what I should do, but I just can't walk away" ---probably what every guy i'd ever been interested in is thinking about me. The key phrase in this whole entire song is "YOU KILL ME", because although it connotates a negative feeling, it really isn't, because he wants to be with that person so bad that the 'killing' part is something he will put up with, in order to keep his feelings for her alive. This song is the never-ending cycle of loving but not wanting to love that person because you know they're not good for you. But, they are just so appealing to you that you don't want to lose hope that someday they'll quit playing stupid games with you and they'll be a 'happily every after' somewhere in there. |

| Jimmy Eat World – Drugs Or Me Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Depressing song, but so powerful and important. "Don't let go Dig a great big hole Down an endless hole Will both go " He's obviously so close to this person, that he doesn't see his friend's problem as just their problem, but purposefully involves himself in the equation because it directly effects him too. "You're so blind You can't see me this time Hope comes from inside And I feel so low tonight " He's trying to keep up hope, but continues to be frustrated with his friend's inability to understand what the drugs are doing to them and to everyone else around them. He's trying to stay focused, but for a moment, expresses his stress. |

| Jimmy Eat World – 23 Lyrics | 21 years ago |

as me, being someone on the verge of 23 in a few months, it really does describe all those feelings you get when you're letting the one you should be with go, but you're so involved with getting your own shit together that you don't have the time/patience/maturity to give yourself completely to the other person without situating your own situation first. "Don't give away the end, the one thing that stays mine"---mind blowing lyric, especially if you're ending things, but knowing deep in your heart of hearts that you still have hope that something could still be there for that other person later on...dammit, i LOVE jimmy eat world! |

| Jimmy Eat World – Night Drive Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Though there are hints of alcoholism and suicide (i can see what you mean with the darkness of the song), I really think this song mainly constitutes a sexual connotation: first of all, "It’d be easy if you get mad, But three fingers point back to you " ---perfect example of the guy wanting the girl to go further in their sexual escapades, in that, she might be resisting, but her reaction to the fingering (yes, he's fingering her) says otherwise, which is the same thing as the line "Make him notice... With both fists Cause quitting alone will never get you dry" ---obviously, she's having second thoughts about doing the naughty things their doing ("do u feel bad, like i feel bad"), but the fact that she's wet (yes, she's wet),says that they both know that they want to continue or else her body wouldn't be reacting that way if she didn't. This song pretty much can't get any clearer in the sex department, with the ticking and the "no way out". Just sounds like some kids are having sex in the car, and trying to determine just how far they'll let themselves go. The fists and fighting in the song isn't real violence, it's probably just a metaphor for the internal battle of 'should we do this, shouldn't we' crap. "Give Me Everything You Got Now I don’t feel a single thing Drag me out into the cold rain Let it hover over me " Well, let's face it..when it comes to the point of cumming/orgasm, there's no turning back...don't you people have sex, or what? |
