| Marilyn Manson – Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Well, one interpretation would be the nature of craving. People don't really love you, they only use you for what you have to offer. Sweet dreams, the dreams of the world and being part of it and using and abusing for money, sex, etc. "I want to know what's inside you" at the end could mean two things. One being, that he wants to move past all the bs and really get to know the person on a deeper level, or two, he wants to be the dominant one in this world of craving and is tired of being walked on/used, so if it were about a woman, he would just be wanting to screw her. Haha. Later. |

| Marilyn Manson – Putting Holes in Happiness Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Ever heard a song so great that it gives you chills? I am a very picky person when it comes to good music, I have to agree that this song is brilliant, beautiful, and almost perfect, instumentally and lyrically. WOW. As far as the meaning, kainrally has it nailed. | |
| Marilyn Manson – Mechanical Animals Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I kind of thought this song was about a woman or "mechanical bride" who was "emotionless" or "mechanical" toward him and treated him like dirt as in he was "a hand grenade that never stopped exploding" It made him so depressed that he was suicidal "playing the suicide king". Wow I thought it was as simple as that. As for the drug references: phenobarbitol as phenobarbiedoll which means the depression was eating at him so bad that he took phenobarbitol (a sedative) to help with the torment she was putting him through. | |
