Opeth are ace, possibly my 2nd fave band....Everyone should listen to dream theater, ignore the cheese of some songs and listen to the musical genious. they rock. anyway...this song, its ace, like someone mentioned earlier Metal/prog/death Whatever bands tend to do a few quiet songs that are normally amazing, this is the pick of the bunch from that ive heard.

to me this song is like me talking to a mate. they question as to why "god" allows these things to happen, and simply its freewill, the chorus is an acknowledgment that only god can right these wrongs that man has done. there is hope to be drawn from this song i reckon |

when i listen to APC version i can't stop thinking about war veterns in hospital and that the nurse attending to them is a woman - who they dont see much during war so they get all loved up....but then i dont think this is the meaning cos when i listen to failures version i dont get that impression at all, i think its something to do with drugs - with my fave line being "say hello to the apples....once in your eyes...sneezed out...etc" i think this is a loved one looking on, but the person is no longer the apple of there eyes - due to this addiction. summin like that! |

This song is beautiful, to me it's so personal, it is like jesus talking directly to me and assuring me that although god gave us the gift of love, he displays and has displayed it in a way we could never do. and thats how awesome he is |
