Ok, I see a weak link to weed and maybe _maybe_ pot. But the real meaning of the song seems to be that people take arbitrary things, like the color seafoam green, and make them a symbol of being "in the now". The song really seems to me to be saying that it is ridiculous that we are always measuring eachother up and finding ways to leave people "out". In the nineties, seafoam green was in. It's not that the color is a particularly beautiful one, its that it was in. More of a "its not what you wear, its how you wear it" kinda deal. /2 cents |

this is dumb but "and they are not going to move us or get in our way" sounds to me like it has the same riff as Splinters by sparta. But really - Awesome song. I work at a pile of shit best buy selling high-def tvs to people who dont know better and I have to admit feeling shame when hearing a song like this. Getting caught up in "Feeling alright here at the top of the world" is all too easy. |
