| A Perfect Circle – Freedom of Choice Lyrics | 21 years ago |

No way-no excuse. Tori Amos did an album of all covers-Strange Little Girls. It turned out to be one of her most powerful albums. I think Maynard is a genius and he shouldn't have settled for this album's mediocrity. |

| This album is SOOOOO much weaker than any album Perfect Circle has released, not to mention Tool's immaculate collection of masterpieces. Where are you Maynard? | |
| A Perfect Circle – What's Going On? Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| okay-seriously this song was not necessary at all to make this anti-war album. | |
| A Perfect Circle – Annihilation Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Extremely political, and if you're not into politics or don't necessarily have strong anti-war views, I'm not sure this is going to be the album for you. It's peace or total destruction; I agree. Just like when he was collaborating with RATM, he wants to Take the Power Back, Know Your Enemy style. |

| Ugly Casanova – Barnacles Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Although this song is actually by Ugly Casanova, like ModestM said, I'll gladly share what I believe to be the meaning of this song. I feel like it's a huge contridiction. Even at the start-I don't need to see, I don't see how you see out of your window. I don't need to see, I'll paint mine black. There's obviously been some severed ties here, and he wants things back as they were, but at the same time he doesn't. And he knows they can't ever be. This contridiction is especially apparent during the bridge when he says "Black glass (you can't see out of black glass) dirt based soap (don't we wash dirt off with soap? what's the use in washing with soap that's dirt based) tell yourself what you know (tell yourself what you already know!?) problems are what a problem is. And it's true. It's a realization of detachment and useless attempts in resolving. |

I feel Shannon a lot on this song- I think it's about someone moving on, and realizing that it's you who's left behind. And sinking more with the realization. |

| Shannon Wright – William's Alabama Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I think it's about an alcoholic, desperate to find what we all want in life: love, acceptance, and something to ease the pain. | |
