i'm reading anthony's book at the moment, and yes the part about river phoenix is true, anthony said he was such a nice loving guy who was always giving,and sharing with his mates. he was hanging out with them while they were making BLOOD SUGAR, i've seen in a video, chad is sitting down with this old guy ,who i think is a yoga teacher or a guru of some kind( very wise guy who knew everything he was talking about,like some old wizard in a movie...anyway)... he was talking to chad about the song GIVE IT AWAY. and saying how great a song it is ,because thats his idea on life... to give give give . he goes on to say that we are only here on this earth for a short time and we have all these thing's object's. but we can't take them with us when we die so all we have to do with these things, or love or helping someone or voluntering your time to help the poor... what ever it is , it will come back to you karma is true and strong... greedy people die lonely.. well peolpe i hope you enjoyed that..... any chili fans out there pick up on my name...G.E.R.M.S. suckmykiss, i think you are on the right track, this song could meana lot of things and peolpe see things other ways, i think this is about drugs, you peolpe keep saying "stop saying drugs about everything". but you must realise that drugs are a major part of there lives and have been for 15 -20 or 25 years. they have lost friends ,many freinds and have all struggled thru drug prob's. i live in australia, and on the radio one day i heard flea doing a voice over with this song in the background. it was just a short 20-30 second add about speeding or drink driving or something. it was around the christmas time. so when i hear this song and the bit" stay the night we'll save the population" i think he means don't drive home after drinking at a mates place ,don't drink and drive at all. stay the night SAVE THE POPULATION. i'm not saying that is what the whole song is about ,but i did hear flea say that with this song in the background. anyway chili fans, just thought i might share that with you. |
