I'm not a huge Matchbox 20 fan, But this song is so well written. It's amazing. With what the lyrics are about, you would think the song would have a depressing feeling. It really doesn't though. It's more enlightening then anything. Almost like he knows his life will still go on but maybe not with her. Or maybe he knows she will return. The song brings a smile to my face every time I hear it. |

Personally, this is my favorite song on the album. For this song they're singing in icelandic. They only sing hopelandic on two songs on this album and then sing it for all of ( ). I find their lyrics to be very poetic, they make you think each time you read them, and you still want to go back and read them again and again. That to me is true art, it makes you think every time you see, hear, or read it. For this song, i really don't quite understand what the lyrics are about. The most amazing part is when is breaks down to strings about 4 minutes in. It sounds beautiful yet sad at the same time. Every time I listen to Sigur Ros it either brings a tear to my eye, or brings a chill down the back of my spine. They are so amazing. One of my favorite bands. |

Maynard’s trying to communicate with his true love. With the title of the song, it begins to make a little bit more sense in an infinite form of love. He’s been trying to show his love that he cares. And he’s been caring for three years. Libra is the seventh zodiac sign and it brings balance and fairness, but Maynard isn’t feeling fairness from it. He’s trying to show what he is, but this person isn’t seeing him in the way he is. Seven is apparently the most used number in biblical words. With knowing this, it makes a little bit more sense to me. He has a tough time understanding his love and why she doesn’t care for him in the way he wants. He doesn’t quite understand it, just like how he doesn’t understand religion and god. And the fairness of the zodiac sign isn’t giving him what he wants, just like god not giving him the things he wants. |

This song only makes sense to me in one way. Starting off, this song is beautiful and elegant. It gives you the feeling of happiness and fulfillment that is only taken from you. The feeling of the music behind the lyrics is nothing like the feeling of his lost lyrics. I can feel what he’s trying to say. Maynard is trying to show the person he cares about and wishes to spend time with how much he really cares. This person understands him, but he doesn’t seem to understand how much she cares. He’s lost and only wishes this lady is his, when he could actually be hers. He just doesn’t know it. That’s just my thought on the music and the poetry behind it. |
