I think those were just some of AFI's notes and the people who designed the liner notes thought it would be really artsy if they used their writing or something. The white writing below about some guitar rift is written by Jade, so it's not a surprise if we find some note from Adam (even though the writing looks like Hunter's) talking about drumming equipment on the same page. |

andante_66 - The 'pork pie' is actually the name of a snare drum Adam used on Sing The Sorrow. Sorry. I actually believe that Bleed Black is the first track off Sing The Sorrow (because of the faint breathing before the song) and The Leaving Song Part II is the last song. In a way, it all kind of makes sense because the Spainish lines in TLS PT II refer to reincarnation and the breathing before Bleed Black can symbolize birth. |

Jeebus! My meaning of this song is waayyy different! I think this song's actually about Davey and his relationship with his fans. 'The lost souls' are actually us - the fans. The verses just consist of Davey saying "If you feel miserable and out of place - come join me and we'll find comfort within each other." In the chorus, Davey sings, "Look what you've done to me now. You've made me perfect." Yes, WE'VE made Davey perfect. That man's refered to as god by most of his fans, dammit. "Take my hand, I'll be everything to you. Take my hand, I'll take everything from you." - Davey is saying that he'll be there us. He's our sanctuary. He'll take all our pain from us.. and isn't that what AFI is EXACTLY doing right now? We find salvation in their music. So, to sum it up: The Lost Souls = Us. The Perfect Being = Davey and the rest of the gang. |
