clairebaby you couldn't be more right, def. my fave song too...and that's saying a lot. this band basically defines my life. the meaning of this song, at least to me that is, is basically a song about the harsh reality of life, the relief from it and where you find it. in this case, cutting is the relief. "so now that your whold world, has gone up into flames, this night is still never ending do you think you're still safe?" <-- basically says to me, this world is a bitch. when you're comfort is gone you turn to what relieves you. alcholol, mutilation, sex...pick your flavor. the world is harsh, and tomorrow won't necessarily come unless you make it yourself. please feedback, for i am hungry! |
