Thom Yorke – Harrowdown Hill Lyrics 19 years ago
One of the e-mails [David Kelly] sent [on the day of his death] was to New York Times journalist Judith Miller, who had used Kelly as a source in a book on bioterrorism, to whom Kelly mentioned "many dark actors playing games".
(from his Wiikipedia entry)

..Well. Make of that what you will.

As for the song itself, it's my favourite on the album so far.

I think the shadowman represents depression. In that context the song makes a lot of sense to me.

Ani DiFranco – Joyful Girl Lyrics 21 years ago
I love the whole song, but the second verse in particular is just. So. It describes me, I can't believe how much I identify with it.

DJ Shadow – Six Days Lyrics 21 years ago
I just got this song and have had it on repeat for ages, it's amazing! It's got that dark, sinister quality to it that I LOVE, and the beat is fucking fantastic and makes me want to dance. I need this album now.

Sarah McLachlan – Full Of Grace Lyrics 21 years ago
To me this song is about suicide. It sounds like something you'd leave in place of a note. It sounds like someone giving up and not being able to cope with the world any more. Very powerful, it makes me cry too. I thought it was very apt for the end of Buffy S2, when Buffy has been forced to kill her lover and is leaving everyone else she loves in an attempt to keep them safe - I think this is a metaphor for suicide, in that some people feel guilt for the pain they feel they have cause their loved ones and feel that the world would be a better place without them.
