I do think that this song is definetly about someone she loves, but I don't think that it's about someone who has passed. The second verse is too sinister. "I'm numb to you, numb and deaf and blind, you give me all but the reason why." |

For me, this song has much feeling behind it. Everyone at some point in their lives feels like they could just disappear and that no one would notice. But this song is much deeper than that. I think it's some sort of personal reflection of someone that she loves, (friend, boyfriend, lover, im really not sure) who she is convinced does not care about her at all. Knowing this bothers her, and it obviously is the reason why she "won't be home again", which alludes to her suicide. The "Please, please forgive me" could be alluded to the fact that she knows that suicide would be selfish on her part, but she believes it is the only way for her to end her misery. My favorite part of the song is "and if i bleed, I'll bleed, knowing you don't care", it just basically spells out the theme of the song. |

I think its directed towards religion, maybe kind of pointing out the "get 'em while they're young" tactic that the religion uses and their minds are filled to the brim with things they were taught when they were young and they grow old with the same ideals until they eventually die, never opening their eyes to different individuals or new things. |

For me the song has a lot to do with being walked on over and over again and basically killing yourself (maybe mentally) to make someone else happy, "but I'll just suffer in a hope to die someday while you are numb all of the way" and the person you care so much about doesn't even notice how much you want to be their everything, they're numb to it because they can't see past themselves. And I love the last line..."Shoot myself to love you, if I loved myself I'd be shooting you." Kind of implementing that if the person truly cared for themselves they would get rid of whats causing them these feelings of worthlessness and constant betrayal. |
