"and one by one I drowned all of the people I had been" this is saying that he wants to change and he is trying so hard to change the situation but then he realizes that he is going about it the wrong way and rather then trying to change the situation he is actually changing himself and that is when is says "I still felt imprisoned inside
That holding cell that is myself " I do see the religious ties in the song however, I think that is more of a metaphore then actually what the song is about. And as for the suicide idea, that is very interesting and I never saw it that way, but good point. |

Well incase anyone didn't get this let me state what 83 other people did.. no sorry I am sort of making fun of everyone because 2/3 of you said the EXACT same thing. Obviously he was anarexic since he stated this song was about that, additionally, the video makes it pretty fucking obvious. As for the open fire line .. well from personal experience I would have to say it is him "opening fire" or starting a war (interconflict) with his bodies needs and he wants to and he is on his knees because he is unhealthy to the point he can't walk...yea and so on you can sort of get it from there. I would have to say I am 95% sure my interpretation is correct not to be a conceded self centered bitch but yea... let me know if anyone thinks I may be correct |

I really like this song! I think it is funny that the song questions what is beautiful and half of you were like this song is so beautiful. It completely obviously didn't even phase you. This song is suppose to make you question beauty more rather then just proclaiming that things are beautiful. Additionally, no one is stupid everyone relates to different things. Oh by the way passive/agressive by definition means "Of, relating to, or having a personality disorder characterized by habitual passive resistance to demands for adequate performance in occupational or social situations, as by procrastination, stubbornness, sullenness, and inefficiency" He is using butterflies because the general public considers them beautiful while other things some people do and others don't. Millions of people get butterfly tattoos everyday so it is obviously something people can relate to and consider beautiful. It may not be the best analogy for something with problems, but who is to say if a butterfly has any easier of a life then people? |

This is SUCH a wonderfully nice song. How can you be any nicer to a person then write a song with lyrics like that? "Remember me, don't forget me ,
I have something true.
My path is dark, my steps uncertain, unless I walk with you." It never says anything like YOU have to be a part of my life like some boyfriends or exboyfriends it never even suggests that they dated it simply talks about this darling girl who makes enlightens him and makes his world better and he wants her to remember him. It is not about finding someone who "completes" your life because your life should always be complete and no one else can do that for you it is about finding someone who complements your life! |

He is writing this to epitimize the idea of hypocrit. That is what so many song writers do they make everything seem worse then it is so they can write about how much it hurts. He even noticed himself doing it so he wrote it to as a story about young artists. That's why is says "young artist gotta starve" (lyrics above are wrong) Also, it never even says Tim Krasher is says when you get on stage and they scream your name, "oh cursive is so cool!" It is suppose to be ironic! |

I can not say for sure what this song is about. However, I use to have an eating disorder and all I can say is it describes it perfectly. It actually describes how I was while I was recovering from my eating disorder. I couldn't remember what I was like before I had it and that relates to the "and you really can't remember, but you know you are not, think you are not, know you are not. Who you use to be" Also, your body is freaking out because it gets use to getting little nutrion so now all of a sudden you have all this food and nutrition and you have energy and can't sleep. Or you .."swollow your sleep" |
