i don't know why people like to pick fights about song posting... even one of the fight pickers said there is something called "private message"... that mess up there, should have been handled that way... anywho... i love this song... just life on the road... which, i know shouldn't be something wanted, but man, I'm envious of those kind of road warriors.. touring year round... i'm sure they have "sells" nowadays... but that kind of lifestyle people partake in because they want to get around and get their music heard is just awesome. plus... "I'm forced awake again in time to take the stage And as my dream world fades another takes its place I look into the crowd and see myself through stares Back when I hoped someday I'd be the one up there" is just something everyone (who wants to live on stage) lives for in the early days... anywho... awesome song i saw them back in august... we were right up against the stage i saw it on the set list.. i was sooo excited... and then, it came to that part of the show-- and they're like... "what song do you guys want to hear?!!" and i guess everyone was shouting "racecars"... at least all my friends were... so, instead of "Westbound" they play "Racecars" i was deeply upset... even more so when some big oaf reaches right over me during the circle pit for "None of My Friends Are Punks" and snatches the set list I had my eye on all night... not cool... not cool at all... :D |

this is oold news... but i live near a Fullerton Rd. and this song is the best to turn up when you're driving by there... plus, i live right near the city of Fullerton, and yes... they are not sining about that city. Nor, the road I just mentioned. I've never been to Chicago-- but i'm quite sure that this song in rooted in the venue people are talking about........... in any case.... i love this song... it's just about losing this place (metaphorically or figuratively... i'm not entirely sure i spelled either correctly) that was home for so long... and now that you've grown from it, you still want it.... very simple. |

ok, i got the myspace feeling... it's not about myspace but, you get the idea of that "scene" what i got from it, because i'm kinda familiar with the subject is some guy at like a party and being so bored of all these people he doesn't know or doesn't care for and then he sees this very intriguing girl that he's like to get to know (in more than one way) and then she offers him like a one night stand the sorta "just sex" idea and then when he gets to her place he realized that she's just like the rest thinking/acting like they're much older and he stops really caring about liking her and accepts it as a one night stand he's not sad about her leaving anymore and then he realizes wait, i'm not this kind of person i've done it before (just sex) and it didn't work now, even though he knew she was faking it, he's still becomes attached and therefore, is "the only one who got burned" anywho... that's just my take on the song, i love it... :D |
