this song reminds me of I will buy you a new life. Alexakis said he wrote that song when he and his wife had these visions of their life being perfect once they got rich. but then they realized money can't buy everything. I think this song is about people thinking they want these things and that life CAN be perfect. Nothing can be perfect. |

I like that line. It basically says that society sees fucked up as perfect. I'm guessing this girl wieghs about 90 pounds. either from the drugs or anorexia or bullimia. |

to me this song is about how bad it is to be preppy. Basically preps care way too much about what people think about them, and try to be loved by everyone. Art says this is stupid. |

read the lyrics people! This song is about mental illness. Note the "in your head". Its not about a war going on. Its about an elder who grew up during the war, and in their head "it's still 1916". They imagine this war going on and guns firing. I think the best way to find out is to actually ask the artist. but songs can mean anything to other people. |
