Amazing song and clever lyrics, even tho i might not agree with them :p. This song is about female oppression by men-"We've made you all the peasants and we've made ourselves the kings". I just don't understand what it's got to do with ribs! - If it's referring to the way adam has one rib fewer than eve, why would women take our ribs? |

I go along with other people on this, and feel its about people who feel they are better than others because of their materialistic possessions. Where some people can live without such things, some people become obsessed with them, and when these things disappear, the people go with them. (Monolithic statues falling is a metaphor for this). I very much doubt the 9/11 thread to it. |

Three possible meanings: 1. Sex. 2. As mentioned before, wanting to be the womans baby. 3. (A friend suggested this one), the view point of a sperm who wants to fertilise the egg. highly unlikely but its fun to read over the lyrics with that in mind! |
