Yeah I read the Plath poem as well and there are definite allusions to the words from the poem in a lot of the songs. I had no idea to what any of it meant until I read the poem, yet now the songs are even more confusing. Still my favorite promise ring song though |

I think this song may have to do with a funeral and the events surrounding it and the thoughts he has of it. I think he is kind of reflecting on what he heard maybe at the mass, and maybe trying to explain why he lost someone he cared for. |
