In some ways I think, the part where Nate says "Man, you won't believe the most amazing things that can come from, some terrible lies." It has a double meaning in my mind when I hear the part about his sister. I'm thinking some one she loved, deceived her, left her, in a sense made her believe he loved her but it was all one big lie. But his nephew is something that came from that lie and is amazing. On the other hand I feel that last part has an entirely different meaning. I have read a few of your interpretations and I see some saying it's about his music from the The Format to Fun. transition. If this is the case I would think that there is also meaning to Nate using Auto-Tune on the word Lies itself. Now a days there are far more artists getting popular due to auto-tune. Pretty much getting paid to sing, when they can't even sing to begin with. So I'm thinking that when Nate says "you won't believe the most amazing things that can come from some terrible lies" it could be referring to how these other artists go popular over the terrible lie that auto tune is, and that is why the word lies is fully autotuned. It's blatantly used, Nate would never need such a thing to better his voice. Or he could have just thrown it in there for fun and I don't know what I"m talking about xD |
