| i think the song's called "you're all i have" and also that the words are "You're cinematic razor sharp" instead of "you sit...". I think the meaning is quite obvious...good song though, maybe not as good as the singles off final straw. What does everyone else think? | |

i really like this song, the actual music and the lyrics. I think it is about growing up and becoming more mature (1st verse) but he is doing it for someone he loves and made mistakes with previously. "...as I lie to you Just because i'm sorry doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it at the time" i love the next part "You're the only thing that I love Scares me more every day" putting all your hopes and trust in one person may be quite scary. he is obviously trying to regain her trust and start their relationship over again as he says that he promises he willl do anything this time. |

i love this song. I always thought it was just about human life, how amazing it is in a simple way how we are made to "pair up" in our "one time love affair with the earth". Yet it speaks of true feelings. e.g in the lines i love... "Made to dream of flying So high Made to wake up crying I don't know why" showing we have certain expectations and how even though life is meant to be simple we humans are a bit more complicated and sensitive. |

i agree with taking comfort in the line "There's nowhere you can be that isn't where you meant to be, (its easy...all you need is love...)" as i like to think that we are all just following our destiny and that the only other thing we need to help us along the way is love. If everyone followed this song the world would be a better place. All you need IS love |

| i think walk on was a lot more suitable to sing after sept 11th as it shows positivity. This song seems to show negative sides to everything. For instance even freedom seems like "too many choices". im unsure what the song is trying to say or if it is just simply his description of new york. | |

I agree about the line. In the "best of..." booklet the line of "tangled necklace of pearls" music is described as the feeling of a dizzy love for life and a resentment of mortality at the same time, which i think is a true summary. The world and life is a beautiful string of brilliant moments however the necklace is tangled ans sometimes we do not see life as an amazing thing. The singer is trying to show this to the person he is writing about and finding it a hard task as this person wants to "escape". |
