Wow, some guy says Christianity is based on other religions, and I don't know anything about it.Must be true.Oh wait, I can do the same thing in opposite.Jesus is not taken from other religions, Christians didn't alter the Gospels, etc.Try doing a little research, soundbites won't help you very much.In particular I recommend www.tektonics.org and www.christian-thinktank.com Now, as to your hell comments, they are based on a whiny sort of "God would be my warm and fuzzy genie if he existed mentality" The predestinged complaint is irrelevant, as God is outside of time, making referrences to knowing the future explanations for our benefit. I have read the Bible cover to cover, and read a fair bit of anti-Biblical literature.What I've learned is that critics of the Bible need to rely on ignorance, ethnocentricity, and bigotry for most of their arguments. In reguards to your comment on the likelyhood of an after life, I'm extremely curious, what are the statistics, and why are they so slim?Could it be that you're making things up?(Hint:Yes) As for your claim that Christianity grew out of a need to explain the unknown, I ask you to explain the fact that it revolves around redemption via the blood of Christ.And so help me, DON'T say that it was all a plot to control people. And incidently, the existence of hell is a result of God's non-tyrancy, it is what happens when humans reject God. |

The song seems to be about overcoming and resisting those who try to interfere with a walk with God;people who thing it's about separating ourselves from the rest of Christianity should interpret the song in light of Project 86's others, specifically Open Hand. |
