I would say this is definitely about someone dying, but there appears to be an element of guilt and blame about it.
It is as if the disease has been brought on by the person's actions in some way - maybe as a result of substance abuse or something?
A beautiful song, so much emotion in it. |

This song is definitely about heroin addiction, anyone who has had a loved one on the shit can instantly recognise the reference. Every cent (scrap) they can find is put towards the only thing that matters to them, the drug. "where's the problem you can ask if you keep your head up"- people when they are first becoming addicted believe they can do it and maintain a normal life. This song is about watching someone in the depths of addiction, hurting as they slowly kill themselves. |
