well, you're all probably sick of me by now, but never the less: I sometimes hear "saw you form the _urchins_ side", not "ocean side"- an urchin being a playful youth. This fits with "he whistles and he runs". It's interesting to consider this with what interpaul has said - it means the song is addressed to the father. This would mean that its the father ("you") who is killing his son ("he"). It's interesting because i thought this line: "He has a keen eye for what you used to be" was about how the father , being murdered his own son, knew what he was like as an innocent child. But i guess not =\ |

i like what interpaul suggested, "he whistles and he runs" i can imagin the father remembering seeing his son playing as a child while he's being murdered by him. |

also, i'm sure "bursting in a rapture" should be "rehursing interaction", which makes more sense coming before "but he wasn't even there" |
