Another Isaac song that plays on the "grass in always greener" theme. Once again he finds that that notion is just some BS trick your mind is playing on you. The girl in the song goes off to find just about the farthest away grass she can, and still: it's boring. |

The second verse is clearly referencing heroin use. The "sylabble lisp" is just the resultant slurred speech. "The twist" isn't a commonly used term for heroin, but it was used by Kurt Cobain in the song "Aneurysm" : "Come on over and do the twist / Come on over and shoot the shit / Love you so much you make me sick." Porcupine refers to the needle. |
