what about taking this song as a child viewing his parent's relationship? "Does he, does he know the way to worship our love? Keep a calendar, this way you will always know." the husband may not understand the relationship the child has with his mother, and might be jealous. the child doesn't want to end up like his father, but can't really help becoming a little like his father because that's just a natural thing (and he acknowledges that by saying "behind my back, I already am"). about the calendar part, he's saying that within time, you'll definitely be able to tell when he becomes his father - so, when he arrives at a certain age, you'll notice the similarities. |

| i'm going through this right now with someone, so with me, it's something where being with that certain person consumes you cuz you know (s)he has problems of his or her own that (s)he needs to deal with, but you also are not sure if the love that has taken you over is entirely right either...then you can't imagine how their end of the situation is going cuz you're too busy trying to figure out how to prepare and make yourself the best person possible, which will also give you the confidence to seek out what his or her true feelings are. idk, confusing i guess unless you're going through it. the "my curse" part is the whole confidence problem - you can't figure out how to not make this person "walk away" and to only be "hoping to see [him or her] again". "dying inside these walls" referrs to the personal barriers that won't break down to push past the hard parts of shyness and having a difficult time of loving someone unconditionally and proving it as well. | |

| i don't know what u people's problems are. this is another typical song of eminem's. what makes you think that this song is so horrible? come on, seriously - you almost HAD to expect a song like this to come out wouldn't you? and a word to WhAtSuPuNk - are you saying that rappers cannot be funny? are you saying that we all have a certain place in society and shouldn't act like anything else but like what we are expected of? i sure don't. i don't know where you are trying to come from, but this is how em is - a hilarious guy that is different from everyone else, and that is the exact reason why he has fans. i will agree that this song isn't em's greatest one so far and that he can do better, but it is good for a laugh, right? and that is all it is meant to be for - A LAUGH. it isn't meant to be judged like all of you guys are doing. | |
