I absolutely love this song. Daughtry just knocked it out of the park. It's a monster hit! I think this song is about someone realizing that obtaining thier dream came at too high a price, and everything they ever really needed, they already had. |

I think this song just means that she's outgrown the relationship. She needs to move on with her life and grow up. She uses alot of childhood references to show that its time to let that go and be an adult. |

Your guys comments are funny.
They messed up the lyrics. She says, "I met" your girl, not "I mad your girl." Her voice is powerful as hell. I love how passionate she sings the song! She belts it out.
Anyway, this song is about falling in love. Unfortunately, she's fallen in love with somone who already has a girlfriend. She's never been in love before, and she's realizing she's falling in love with him, and she's longing for him to love her like she loves him. |

Wow, 5 pages, and no one came up with anything that is really believable. I think the lyrics in this song are too piecemeal to really get it, and too vague. But I agree with those who think he is getting dumped. I think she has been cheating on him. He knows it, and she is chickening out by not telling him the truth. He wants her, sexually and romantically. Dance, Dance, I'm assuming is her dancing around the real reason as to why she is breaking up with him. I think these are the lives you love to lead just means that people sometimes secretly love drama surrounding their love life. It's filled with emotion and passion, and people like the excitement. These guys come up with amazing, fresh lyrics. I think they're lyrical geniuses. |

I think this song is about dying and losing a loved one. After death, you are no longer bound by space and time, and you can join those who you've loved and gone before you. |

| Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics

Wow, there are alot of comments about this song. I think it's because the refrain is so ambiguous.
Basically, this song is about a guy is having sex with a girl and who wants her for something more, but she is already with someone else.
He's asking her if he's getting to her yet, if he is starting to mean something more to her than just sex. Hence, "Am I more than you bargained for yet?" And, "...noch in your bedpost."
The mausoleum could be literal or figurative. If it's figurative, I would say it relates to how he feels, like the people in the mausoleum.
He wants to mean more to her than he does, but when it comes down to it, if he doesn't, then all she will ever be is "...just a line in a song."
She's hurting him. "Drop a heart. Break a name." He just switched "heart" and "name," a poetic device.
"...sleeping in, sleeping for the wrong team" means he thinks that they (both) are hooking up with the wrong people.
The part where he is watching them from the closet, means he's hiding the fact that he is the one who really wants to be with her.
The most confusing part of this song is in fact the refrain, and I still haven't decided what I think it all means. It almost sounds like a couple who is about to break up, but that doesn't fit in with the rest of the song, because they're not really together.
So I think what it means is that he's not going to give up on this relatonship too easy, and she can test him to see how serious he really is. |

I think this song is about a married woman with a child whose husband has cheated on her. The anti-christ in the kitchen is their child, yelling at her. She was saved again by the garbage truck. That's her child who has stopped yelling because he/she is entertained by the garbage truck. Her whole marriage she has felt like she is drowning, so what happens if she is a mermaid? She can swim away. The rest of this song she is waking up and realizing that she has to stick up for herself. |

Does anyone think that this song might be about Ginger Spice and the Spice Girls. I don't know when this song came out, but it was my first impression when I heard this song. Like I though she starts of with Gimger and the goes off on a tangent. The Wrong Band could just be a metaphor for something better. |

This song has haunted me for a long time, and I always seem to come back to it whenever I'm in one of those melancholy moods. I think what she is too proud to mention is that she needs him. I think that he doesn't mean to, but he hurts her, because he isn't sensitive enough to her needs. They just don't understand each other. By the time she has accepted that she's weak, she understands that he is too without being able to connect with her, and she won't connect with him. |

This song is definitely about a boy who at first likes a girl more than she likes him. They are definite opposites, and it seems like they shouldn't be together. By the time she comes around to feel the same way he does, he's already been scared off. However, once he fully realizes that she loves him, he comes back. |

I can't believe no one commented on this song. I know it's Debbie Gibson, but she wrote this song herself, and she wrote it at like what age? 13 or 14. That's talent. It's pretty song. I dig it. |

The DJ Sammy Candlelight remix of this song is heart wrenching. It's gorgeous. I like it more than I like the original. Bulldog, Bryan Adams has to approve all the remixes and covers of his original song, and DJ Sammy, regardless if he is a homosexual or not, has the right to be inspired and work with this song if Brian Adams let's him. Don't be such an ass. |

This song is rich, indeed. It's gorgeous. It took me a year and a half to get over my exboyfriend. Many times during that period, I was completely beside myself. I had to eventually get into therapy. I am over him now, and happy, and healthy, but this was the one song that exactly and perfectly described how I felt during that time. The violence she describes is the violence you feel within yourself. Ultimately, it's about loving someone and them not or no longer loving you back. |

I first heard this song when I saw Closer. I loved it. However, I had forgotten about it, and this past weekend I went on a date with this guy who I have been talking to for the past couple of months. I want to be his boyfriend, but he's unsure if he wants one, and we've been going back and forth about this. Needless to say, I've fallen in love with him, and this weekend I slept at his place for the first time. In the morning, when we woke up, he played this song, as we layed in bed together. I couldn't even look at him. I turned my back and curled up in a ball. And at that moment, I felt like Damien Rice wrote about this moment, this emotion, this situation. This song is exactly how I was feeling. And after I left his place, I went home, downloaded the song, and I haven't stopped listening to it since. |

Actually I lied. I think it means that he doesn't love her. He's realized he doesn't love her. That's why his love is fake plastic. He could "blow through the ceiling" running away from her. He wishes he could love her, because she loves him. He wishes he could be who she wants him to be, but he doesn't love her. |

This song is about the painful discovery and acceptance of an illusion. A woman realizes her whole universe isn't real, and she's hopeless. The man she lives with realizes the illusions he created aren't real, and the man's hopeless. -- He loves her, but she doesn't love him back, and he realizes he never really loved her (because he can't be who she wants him to be), and he's hopeless. The truth is they're all hopeless. This song is confusing because his love is real. That's why he "can't help the feeling." But it doesn't matter to him, because he thinks if his love is real, then she would love him back. He thinks if he really loved her, he could be who she wants him to be, and he can't. -- It's a deeply faceted, beautiful, sad song. |
