suepursticious - First of all, the point of comments are to say what the song means to you.. Oh no! Maybe that's why it says "What does this song mean to you?" above where you type!! I really don't see "Post Rude, Critical Comments Here, Please!" It's stupid to compare how some people have had it "far worse than her". You CAN'T compare those type of things. Everyone has their own problems, and everyone has it worse in a different way. Think before you post something, I think you made us all stupider from reading your pointless comment.. To me this song is about how when she was younger.. She thought she wasn't as important as her sister and that she had to try to be like her sister to be loved by her family and friends. When she says.. **I was six years old, when my parents went away I was stuck inside, a broken life, I couldn't wish away** ^^I think she's talking about how she didn't think her parents cared about her anymore.. Because her sister became famous.. And she just wanted to wish all the pain away. **She was beautiful, she had everything and more My escape, was hiding out, running for the door** ^^Here she's talking about how her sister was so beautiful to her and it made her feel ugly and that she had nothing, and that she just wanted/or did hide out to try to get rid of the sorrow she felt for herself. ***** It used to be so hard being me Livin' in the shadow of someone elses dream Tryin' to find a hand to hold But every touch felt cold to me ***** ^^Here she's saying how she was trying to follow her sister's footsteps (Her sister's shadow) And she was trying to find someone to accept her and she didnt think anyone liked her.. she thought everyone liked her sister more than her.. |

These lyrics are wrong.. definitely.. This song is basically Ashlee telling you that you don't know her how you think you do. This song is telling you a little about herself. It is basically the introduction to her CD.. Her CD is called Autobiography.. So basically I think she just wants to get the point across that she isn't like her sister.. |

I absolutely *LOVE* this song. I think in this song she's singing to an ex-boyfriend? Or something on the lines of that. And she's telling him that how she is, isn't going to change. And that's as perfect as she's ever going to be.. Hinting the Lyrics: **Here I am, As perfect as I'm ever gonna be** In a way she hates this guy? And yet she wants him still.. **Shut up, Come back No, I didn't really mean to say that. I'm mixed up, so what Yeah you want me so you're messed up too I love you, I hate you If you only knew what I've been through** ^^Those lyrics show how she just wants to get her point through but doesn't want him to hate her for what she has to say? I'm not really sure if that's what this song means, but that's how I see it... |

I love this song. It's talking about something kinky (But, I'm sure that you can tell by how the lyrics are implied ^_^) It's one of my favorite songs of hers.. I love how she screams "You make me wanna lala" Awesome song.. |

The point off adding comments to the song is to say what it means to you.. Hint how it says "What does this song mean to you?" Above where you type.. I'm sure that people don't appreciate your rude comments considering some people might like this song. You don't see us attacking your songs if we dislike them. Do you purposely look up lyrics to songs that you don't like so that you can write rude, and nasty comments? Get a life. And I'm sure a lot of people agree with me.. Personally, I love this song. If you've watched the Ashlee Simpson Show.. You'll know that this song is written about Ryan Cabrera. But I've heard rumors of them breaking up? I'm not really sure though. This song she just basically just says what she feels about Ryan. Cute song.. |
