This is just an idea, but the more i think about it, the more it makes sense to me. Today i listened to all 3 albums in a row, and i listened carefully to every song. Vermillion Pt 1 could be what happened to Iowa, slipknot wanted to make a cd like subliminal versus, but the ever present threat of losing a good amount of fans over "going soft" scared them into making songs that were what people were expecting not what they wanted to do. "SHE ISN'T REAL! I CAN'T MAKE HER REAL! SHE ISN'T REAL! I CAN'T MAKE HER REAL! " "she" being the direction of thier career "I'm a slave, and I am a master No restraints and, unchecked collectors I exist through my need, to self ablige She is something in me, that i despise " And vermillion Pt2 was thier way of saying they create the music THEY want to create.
