A long distance relationship where the couple doesn't see each other all the time, and the guy isn't even sure if he is in love with the girl or not, he's just upset that she always says "i love you" before she leaves and he doesn't think that she means it. it's quite sad and it's an easy song to relate to. Having your girl walk away and leave you for a long time when you need her by your side, it just seems so fake at that point. |

*sighs* okay kids, it's evan and amy, two of the most passionate singers that anyone will ever come across on this planet, this song is the second half of your ex-lover is dead, if you look inside the booklet with the lyrics, it says in brackets after one more night, your ex lover is dead still or something along those lines. the song is about the end of a relationship, it's a great tune and it's as simple as that, enjoy the lyrics, especially amy milan. |

I'm in this exact situation right now, and it is the hardest thing I have ever had to be a part of in my entire life. I don't want to be an also, or be the bad guy, or the other man, it's just happening. It just gets to the point of no return and well decisions have to be made right?
I think the last part talks about the rumors of you and this girl having an affair or cheating or whatever and the other man has to figure it out before her husband/b/f does so you can bail or leave or do the right thing whatever the case may be. |

I just heard this CD a little while ago. I ended up with a whored out copy of Bright Lights because a friend wanted me to listen to it, and it's been passed around so many times I don't know who had it originally but everyone ends up loving the band so much they just buy Bright Lights and pass the burn on... so now it's my turn. I love this album, it is so amazing and this song is definetly my favourite... most of the their starts off so catchy and the drops down to depressing it's really and interesting style... haha... anyone an amazing song. |

This is always such an amazing song to listen too, and yes I know I'm a guy but still I would just as upset if I were her husband/boyfriend it would just suck and I know i can't relate as closely but it still makes me think. I had a teacher in high school who miscarriaged and she was devistated, she was so happy the entire time she was pregnant and then after she just looked so shaken and unsteady. It's different being in the viciinty of someone like that. |

matt good is great, i don't know if anyone has every seen him do this song live but he changes it everytime he does it, i have seen it done a couple of times and it alwasy varies to whatever the political issues that are bothering him are. it just adds some flavour to his show and it is always so heartfelt. |

This is definetly my favourite Matt Good tune. I've always had a passion for it for some reason and it always reminds me of so much science fiction I have read over my lifetime, the whole fireman issue reminds me of farenheit 451 by bradbury, and the whole robot part and walking around with my hand on my gun reminds me of roland from stephen king's dark tower series. It's always so much to take in, as if he is losing himself in everything or becoming paranoid hence the whole hand on the gun. It's just a fantastic song in general, I normally try not to read to deep into things but I have heard this song so many countless number of times and it's always great. |
