this actually perfectly describes my current situation... from the perspective of my ex-boyfriend. hearing this song after we broke up was so helpful in that i kind of understood what he was feeling and going through... it makes me feel less angry towards him, weirdly enough, and a little more thoughtful on the nature of relationships... |

one of my favourites off the new album... i feel like it's a song of liberation after a bad relationship. the person was killing themselves trying to be good enough for their significant other ("is it destruction that you're required to feel?"), but now they realize that they've been "pretty enough" all along and don't need to suffer the pain anymore... |
