This song has some history to it.
I recall hearing a story about the original lyrics, scribbled on a wrinkley piece of lined paper by Corey Taylor. The old bassist of the band SR-71 died of cancer in the recent past, and one of the things he did before his death was purchase the original lyrics. So sad, so so sad. |

I preffer this CD over the last, actually. I like when they sing more than scream, but thats just me. Don't get me wrong, the screaming is awesome but the singer (forget the name, I'm not a hardcore fan so forgive me) has a fantastic voice. |

Wow, no comments on a song this insanely good?!
Lemme start by saying this is one of my favorite songs by SR-71. Next, this song seems to be about someone leaving a relationship in which he's been mistreated or cheated on or whatever ("I won't forget, the way you made me feel. I won't regret, running away from heree") The person he is leaving ends up missing him and wanting him back ("Understand I'm going to leave you will follow") , but when he won't come back she ends up despising him ("Now your jealousy and hate consumes us all").
God damn what an awesome song. |
