i agree with radicalledward76 in most parts. but HIM's music doesnt just appeal to a specific demographic. although it prob does appeal to a lot of satanic, suicidal, teenage girls, im not one of them. im infact an 18 year old that is the complete opposite of suicidal, but i still love them. but yeah, good points hey!! |

i cant believe im the first to comment!! this is a wicked song, seedy as hell, like everything else i spose. i reckon its pretty self - explanatory. i like the beat behind "you think that its a synch" but i dont like the part "hey baby, your still in me" etc. the singing is too high and pansy like. otherwise the rest of the song is good. |

quiffporn - what is your actual reason for not liking him? its easy to call their music fucking shit and that ville valo is a goth fag and they all suck dick etc etc etc but do you have an actual reason? fair enough if you dont like a band, but ur not doing much justice to ur reasons by simply reducing them to mindless and derogatory comments about the band. if you dont have a real reason for not liking them, besides thinkin their satanic and pussys and dress like goths, then stop the comments. music is meant to be appreciated, and it shouldnt matter who creates that music, be they pussys, punks or goths. cant we just say we like or dont like music without being crucified for it? theres no need to start personally assaulting a band because you dont like the people in it. i love him, they're one of my fave bands. shit - here comes another stupid fucking music war. we're individual people! get used to it! |

i hate the way radio stations repeatedly put songs on by joy bands and end up butchering the music coz everyone gets sick of it. i live in australia, and him isnt very well known, so not many stations play their music. i wish they did! i love this song, it is beautiful but extremely sad at the same time. and ville valo - goddamn! that boy is joy. some of my male mates dont like him coz he is "such a pinup boy" but if i was a guy and i looked like that, id be a bloody pinup boy too! yewww |

xsingthesorrowx - obviously you dont have any other afi cds. if you did, youd know that often the last song on the cd goes for 10 or 15 minutes or so and after the last song there is silence (with sing the sorrow being the exception as it has talking and music) and then there is a secret song. this time imperfect is the secret song on this cd.
my favourite lines in the song is "cuts through my days and sinks into my dreams." i love the way davey whispers this, as if he is scared to admit the way the pain cuts through his days and sinks into his dreams, like he is scared to realise it has consumed his entire life.
also, i am sick of people that assume i am a goth because i like afi. i dont dress like a goth, but people assume that i am one because i love afi. the band sing about many depressing issues and their music is mostly melancholy, but they offer hope. their songs do not solely consist of negativity, but they often offer a sense of enlightenment. the band doesnt put up a facade, they communicate what they are often feeling. they are not always depressed, but they use their songs as an outlet for their feelings. davey might think that feelings are best dealt with by writing a song about it and singing. this is my opinion. so all those people that reckon afi are goths and so are their fans - up yours! coz ur the ones that are missing out on joy music.

thats hilarious. ive heard people sing "please let me understand im your pillow." after pissing myself laughing at them, i kick them in the shins for being so stupid. could you imagine davey saying that? i agree, the line "please let me haunt as scent on your pillow" is nostalgic. but what do you guys reckon "let me be all the words" means? i love this song, AFI are joy. and if ur a fan solely for sing the sorrow, ur missing out!! answer that, black sails, etc are wicked so listen to them too! i pray afi come visit us in australia again... |

what do you guys reckon it means? i think that "rizzo" refers to someone that davey knows, and "in the box" is referring to a coffin. i think that the person he is talking about killed themself, and he is really bitter about it, which can be seen in the lyrics "its sad when someone you know very well decides to fuckin die and go away." he seems confused by why this person wanted to kill themself, "you were once someone i called my friend, but thats all now changed and i dont know why." it seems like he was angry that this person died when he cared about them. like how could they do that to him? this is just what i reckon, what do you think? |
