| Lostprophets – Last Train Home Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Buckeye, good point. My feelings exactly. I'll like anything that doesn't suck, whether it be rap, pop, hip hop, punk, grunge, alt rock, oldies... anything. Depends on the mood, depends on the current stage in life, depends on the surroundings. People are always changing. Anyways, the song: I get pissed when people say every song is about troubled relationships. This song is not about a troubled relationship, it is about a guy who is really struggling after a lost love. He doesn't know why she doesn't love him anymore. He is so distraught, he considers not going on... but "there's still tomorrow, forget the sorrow." The "Last Train Home" is about how someone can return from any mishap. No matter how bad it gets, you can survive. The Last Train Home is always there to bring you back. In this case, he can be on the Last Train Home. "But we sing" describes how he is still going to rise up and be happy again. After listening to this song again, I love it once more. My close friend is going through a similar sort of thing, and the lyrics ring so scarily true. |

| Jimmy Eat World – Pain Lyrics | 21 years ago |

I haven't read all the posts on here, but I disagree with the ones I have read. This song doesn't have anything to do with a relationship... only drugs. "A kiss with open eyes" refers to being high, and "She's not breathing back" is a metaphor for the drugs; they don't stop him from doing more drugs. He continues trying to quit, but his hurried and busy life draw him back to drugs, because when he's high nothing bothers him. |

| New Found Glory – (Everything I Do) I Do It for You (Bryan Adams cover) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I just don't understand it; why does everyone hate NFG? They are a respectable band, with good lyrics and good music. What is so wrong with that? And please don't give that gay shit about "They're posers, they got too popular!" Come on, thats just STUPID. All that means is that their music is SO good that it appealled to the masses. And don't say that their fans are wannabe punk. What the hell do you know about their fans? I like NFG, and I have never claimed to be punk. I am not a poser, I just like good music. Is that so wrong? |

Yes, this song is most definitely a friendship song... to me at least. Just check this one out: "Someday / When my life has passed me by / I'll lay around and wonder why you were always there for me." I love that line... to me it's about a guy who is just cherishing life and his friends. Think about this: Why in the world do these people care for us? What do we have to give that keeps them coming back? Why do they care for us? Friendship is amazing... wow. |

| Radiohead – Creep Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This song is Art. The guitar and sorrowful lyrics build into a beautiful masterpiece. Its the only Radiohead song I like (at all). I think the rest of Radiohead is total crap, but just because of the utter perfection of this song, I respect Radiohead. As for meaning, I believe its about a loser who likes a popular girl, but can never have her because he is too scared and shunned. At the right times, this song can make you cry. | |
| Eve 6 – Inside Out Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| If it is true that he wrote it in study hall in high school, that is freaking amazing. Makes me like the song even more. This song is Art. Music can rarely be called "Art". I've only found few instances of it. But this is most definitely Art. | |
| New Found Glory – Hit Or Miss Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Has no one mentioned how the best part of this song is the name? Hit or Miss! Its about a guy who loved a girl, lost his shot at her, and now she's with another guy. "Have I waited to long / Have I found that someone?" He thinks this girl is his soulmate, they were made for each other. But she disagrees, and goes out with another guy. Its Hit or Miss for the singer. Its his one chance to see if she feels the same way about him. |

| Everclear – A Beautiful Life Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I have to say, I love this song. Its so very true, and the music, not only the lyrics, really make it. Don't get me wrong, Everclear is my all-time favorite band, but this is one of the only songs I know of theirs that is elevated to a higher level by the instrumentals. During the chorus, when the violins and guitars and drums are blasting, it is just amazing. If you are playing it on the car radio, windows down, there is no better feeling. Definitely one of my favorite Everclear songs, at least from recent albums. | |
