Mos Def is so sick too. I love that they did a collaboration. Live instruments are definitely something unique for rap groups, makes me like them even more. |

|
Elliott Smith was an alcoholic, among other addictions. This song is as if a bottle is talking to Elliott. Nothing about a girl. Imagine it through those eyes and the song makes much more sense. Also, the 'between the bars' that he speaks of is about him being arrested for being drunk in public. Insight into the mind of a genius... |

Anyone wanna explain to me the line:
"I live on the corner of Grey street,
And the end of the world."
I mean, I have my own interpretation, I'm wondering if there is a universal understanding that I'm not getting... Anyone wanna inform me, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |

I think this song is about looking back at your mistakes and realizing that you can't dwell in them. Yeah, everyone makes mistakes, but you can't let these mistakes control your life forever. Eventually you have to let go of them and continue to live your life. Just a thought. |

| Bright Eyes – Easy/Lucky/Free Lyrics

I think this song is about how times change and the times now are full of war and yet, no one seems to be worried about it. Conor says in the song "They've got refrigerators full of blood". This is true and it wasn't always true. The United States has progressed into a country where we point guns at anything that moves. Basically, I think the song is about how the world may seem like a terrible place with all the bombs and death and war, but there are finer things in life so don't weep.
Either way, one of my favorite songs on the album and one of my favorite Bright Eyes songs. |

Wait, wait, wait. In Kill Bill one, I didn't know break dancing with a sword was martial arts. She was break dancing while cutting off people's legs. That's a masterpiece? You say I should get a life, yet, you're defending a movie that was bullshit. |

I can't believe no one has commented on this song. It's such a great song. I think it's talking about a person who has met someone that can understand that one person where the rest of the world can not. Everyone judges this person too soon and doesn't see him for what he actually is. Great song. Really able to relate. |

I agree with everything stated. To me, Dave Matthews is questioning the world when someone can love so much, and yet hate so much. How can this be one big blue planet with a heaven and hell if so many people have such different opinions. Heaven isn't necessarily in the clouds, hell isn't necessarily below us. Both worlds are amung us in our world. I think Dave Matthews is trying to tell everyone that we don't live in a single world, but several worlds. One of hate, one of love, so on-so forth. Just my opinion. Either way, Great song.

I saw the Flaming Lips at the Sars concert in Toronto and I must say, they are great. This song can be interpreted in so many different ways. My personal interpretation is that Every flame eventually dies down and to not get discouraged because a new one will start.

I'm totally wrong? How many American's do you know that know how to use a samarai sword? Just American's, we won't even limit it down to Blonde women. To add on, how many people do you know that can kill such a large ammount of people alone? Here's another good one, the poking Bill in the 5 presure points and then he walks 4 steps and dies? That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard. Let's say it was true, it's not a good attack method because lets say your opponent never takes 4 steps, then he never dies. Don't get me wrong, I like Quintine Tarentino, his work in Resevous Dogs was amazing. His work in Kill Bill however, was not. The story line was not good compared to other works by Tarentino. Torrance21, I suggest you come to your sences and realize this. Kill Bill 1 & 2 sucked and don't deserve they praise they're getting. |

"Deaf, dumb, AND THIRTY
starting to deserve this,
leaning on my conscious wall.
Blood is like wine,
unconscious all the time.
If i had it all again,
I'd change it all."
That line right there... The best line in this song easily. I love this song. I agree with "thisboy" and their interpretation. I think it has a lot to do with a controlling partner that has a philosophy like "my way or the highway." Not a good way to go about a relationship but he's not leaving so it continues. |

| Bush – 40 Miles From The Sun Lyrics

This is a great song!
I'm guessing it's about there's nothing left in this man's life to believe in. He is now a hollow man and has no feelings towards anything anymore. He's lost his faith. The first and second verse further support my idea on the song. "There is nothing to be done, No people to be saved." and other stuff I don't feel like typing. Very depressing in a sence, but still a very laid back song. Also, very good. |

A drug cut him right back down to side? A drug begs and complains? Are you all retarded? Yes, parts of the song are about drugs, not all of it though. The She's and You's arent talking about drugs. Do you ever refer to a drug as a she? I don't think so. The song does have to do with drugs, but not completely. It's about a guy who does drugs, and his girlfriend or lady friend who resents him for it. As "ilikefood" stated earlier. The girl is complaining about the guy's drug addiction. The drug isn't complaining... Fuckin morons... Just because it's a rock song and Gavin has a history with drugs doesn't mean that he's refering to drugs as actual people. Also, Glycerine is not JUST about drugs either. Listen to the lyrics and you might interpret it better.
Anyways, great song, one of Bush's best. |

GOD this souds a lot like Limp Bizkit... Only much better... Anyways, I think this song is about two people who had something that was great, and they're slowly drifting apart. They may be talking less, don't see each other as much. I think the relationship is changing from a good one, to a relationship just on sex.
Great song. |

| Bush – Bonedriven Lyrics
|
To me, Bonedriven is about a guy who had this girlfriend and he broke it off. Later in life, he realizes what a mistake he's done and wishes for her back. He tells her about this and she's not ready to be hurt again. The lines that support my idea are, "I was wrong, I will wait." This states that he's realized his mistakes and he'll wait however long it takes for her to come back to him not and accept that he's ade a mistake and regrets it. Another line is "Reset of our lives might have already passed." When Gavin says this, he is saying that he's made the mistake, and it ma be too late to take it back. Their time may have already passes, she may have moved on.
I may be wrong on this, I wouldn't be surprised.
Either way, great song. |

I have a different interpretation that everyone else. I think it's about a guy and a girl, and whatever the guy does, it's not good enough for the girl. The "two howling moons" are eyes. She's always watching him and whatever he tries, is killing their relationship even more. I'm probably wrong, just my own interpretation. |

I love this song!
I think this song is about two people in love, and nothing else matters but the other person. The world could be ending behind them, but as long as they have each other, nothing else matters. Not a typical love song, that's what makes it so great. It's not like "Oh, I love you so much, Let's live together, we can have sex and have little babies" It's about that one moment when you're holding the person you love in your arms and nothing matters except that moment.
Great song! |

First off, this is a GREAT song. Now, I think that this song is about a relationship that he has wit ha girl that isn't going as well as he wants and he's trying to fix it. The girl in the relationship isn't trying to keep it together as much as he is and it's showing. She doesn't really care and it's causing them to drift apart. The line "I needed you more, you wanted us less" supports my theory quite well. And at the moment, I'm facing this exact situation. It sucks, I hope no one else has to feel it. |

| Bush – Swallowed Lyrics
|
To me, this song is about pretending to be someone else to fit in. The second verse introduction is "Just wanna be myself" It may have something to do with peer presure and doing things you regret to be part of a group. Everyone in this "group" are friends... Another line is "I'm with everyone and yet not." This suggests that he feels left out because he's different in some way whether his friends realize it or not. By pretending to be someone he's not and fit in, he's lost someone he loves. Hence, "I miss the one that I love a lot." My interpretation is that a guy has lost a loved one in order to fit in and he regrets it more than anything. In the end, he wishes he's never have done it and he wants the person he loves back. "I got to get away from here, got to get away from here."
I may be wrong. |

| Bush – Mouth Lyrics

|
To me, Mouth is about a guy or girl who broke up with a girlfriend or boyfriend and hates it. "You're silver grin, still sticking it in" that line is saying their partner is rubbing the pain in their face... possibly by making them jealous. The line "You have broken me" suggests that their partner broke his/her heart. "Nothing hurts like your mouth" also supports my idea based on with every word he/she says, it hurts them more.
I can be wrong, that's just my interpretation. |

This song was actually a Anti-suicide song. The point of the song was to show you what it will be like for someone and seeing that his life isnt good at all, you wouldn't want it either. It was meant to scare people away from doing such a horiffic thing. However, there have been several reports to people commiting suicide to this song. One in particular, a 16 year old boy was playing this song on his stereo in his room on repeat and hung himself. Imagine how that must feel for Blink 182. |

The song was about Mahammed Ali as yoyofella just stated. Mahammed Ali would always say "I'm the Worlds greatest" as in boxer... Not Athlet. And let's all face it, he is. No one was as good a boxer or ever will be than Mahammed Ali. That's what this song is about. How no one will ever be as great a boxer as Mahammed Ali. If you watch the music video for this song, R. Kelly is playing a boxer (Mahammed Ali) and he gets into the ring and the song starts. It's a great song dedicated to Mahammed Ali. |

| Our Lady Peace – Sell My Soul Lyrics

I don't agree with kingweasle1's interpretation. At the begining of the song, he's talking about how he got caught doing something, and he doesn't know what to do so he's "out of excuses so he's staring at the bed" havent you ever gotten in trouble with a girlfriend or wife and stared at the bed hoping for make-up sex?
Basically, my interpretation of it is someone who got caught doing something they shouldnt have and got caught in the process and he regrets it and wishes to have the girl he loves back. He misses her... "I'd burn initials in the sky if it would shine" meaning if he could, he would do the unthinkable to try and get her back. As a show of love, sometimes a couple caves their initials into trees or something to show their love... He's saying he loves her so much he'd carve it into the sky. Next, he says "I need a fresh start, I was in heaven until this one feel apart" obviously he did something for it to fall apart and he wishes he had never done it or he wouldnt refer to the relationship as "heaven". The next verse, he says "I'm old enough to take all the blame for all of us" meaning he knows he was wrong and he just wants her to forgive him. He's "bleeding by himself" Meaning hes alone and in pain. The chorus, talks about holding on and how he can't let go. This further supports my interpretation in the sence that he cant let this girl go and he still loves her and he "can't let go"
I may be wrong, that's my personal interpretation. |

I find it intresting the facts he uses in the song...
"No. I don't see why i should be the criminal.
How could something with no recorded fatalities be illegal?
And how many deaths are there per year from alcohol?"
It's true... Not ONE recored dead from Weed. May have led to more dangerous drugs, but never died of weed. Whereas thousands die from alcohol every month. It makes you think why weed is illegal and anyone over 21 can freely drink as much as they want. |

Second, the Kill Bill movies got a lot of hipe, and didn't perform. The story was terrible, a white blonde american women that knows the ancient ways of the Samarai. REAL NICE... |
