Alkaline Trio – Emma Lyrics 19 years ago
Ah, I do love this song, as my username will tell you. I am forever known as Poinsettia and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I quite like Citizenerased's theory. Songs are about finding your own meaning, and if he thinks that about the lyric, he's entitled to.

Good Charlotte – Mountain Lyrics 21 years ago
Haha, it's fucking hilarious that there's so much shallow criticism of the band on the page documenting some of their finest lyrics yet. I guess close minded fuckers will stop at nothing eh?

What is it with utter wankers criticising bands like Good Charlotte, purely because of the way they dress, rather than the MUSIC they make? Have these people forgotten what industry Good Charlotte are in?

As a huge fan of Good Charlotte (and no, I'm not 12 before you think of that clever insult all by yourselves!) I don't even get angry at the "hating" anymore. It's pure comedy. Because, you just know none of them have actually heard the song, they just listen to what the shitty critics say ("they're wannabe punks", "they're poser kids" and so on) and take that as the truth without giving the music a chance. It's a shame - they're the ones missing out.

Great song, great lyrics, great band!

Good Charlotte – We Believe Lyrics 21 years ago
Just two comments is fucking shocking. This is easily Good Charlotte's finest work to date. Perfection in songwriting. Anyone who disagrees is a cunt. End of story.

Alkaline Trio – Fuck You Aurora Lyrics 21 years ago
I thought maybe, yeah, it's about a car crash...but one that was a result of Matt (or anyone the song relates to) being drunk.

There are references to drink in the song, and I figured the crash would have took place in Aurora, with Chrysler being the car the person in question was driving.

He blames himself for drinking, of course. But "the blaming myself had to come to an end" could be like, well, he blames the city/town rather than himself for what happened.

If this makes no sense, it's because I'm drunk myself and I won't be found behind the wheel of a Chrysler ever again...
