This is definatly about norse mythology. It was said so in an interview with Robert Plant. However, the band wanted it to be a more funny song but their audience didnt see them as a joke group and took the song seriously. |

Seger's version is the best. There are very few remakes that are better than the original. The best remake has to be Hendrix's All Along The Watch Tower. I like Dylan but his was bad. |

Surfer guy is an asshole who doesnt know what he is talking about. He didnt even say who the lead singer was. |

acctually the wall was minorly auto biographical and a littel more biogaraphical with sy barrett. my op.? barrett era sucked. it sounded too much lik the beatles. it wasnt shit but it wasnt platnium. DSOTM is my favorite. the wall was next then final cut. fc was what ever couldnt be on the wall then turned into an album about the post war dream. the wall is just about a rock star who builds a wall to escape all the bad shit in his life. |

This song is:
about WWII
about Pink's father dying
not about 1984 (Animals is based on George Orwell's book Animal Farm)
very creepy
goes from a scary tone to a nicer one
and fits into context with 9/11 |

| Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics

WATCH THE FUCKING MOVIE!
It will all make sence. There are no drug drugs in this song. it is after Pink has a breakdown trashes his apartment and is late for the concert. The road manager had to give him steroids to get him to perform. He had a fever when he was younger and he almost died. It reminds him of that time. |

no it is an emotional or pscological wall that he built to protect him self from the out side. No one is inside so he cant get burned. Pink had an horrid life. His dad dies in war, his mom is over protective, his school sucks, his wife is cheating on him, he breaks down and the raod manager has to drug him to perform, then he turns into a neo-nazi guy, finally he tries himself and he forces himself to "Tear Down The Wall". |

Comfortably Numb haowever is about how the road manager tried to get Pink to perform at the concert by giving him drugs. That is when the Neo-Nazi guy comes out. In the movie, the Hitler guy says that pink is not feeling well and that he is the back up band. |

Shock Resistor is the correct one here. The entire album The Wall is talking about an emotional wall that the character Pink built around himself. Every time something bad happens, he adds a brick in his wall to protect him from the "outside". Watch the movie, it will make sense. Animals is the album based on a Orwell book: Animal Farm. It is the anti-authority one. The Wall is semi-biographical on Syd Barrett's life. Barrett was the original singer for Floyd. He then had issues with the band, left, then went insane. The song Wish You Were Here is also about Barrett. Although Waters wrote most of the album, he took ideas from every where. Part 2 is the most overrated song in the history of music, except maybe Ice Ice Baby. Parts 1 & 3 are much better. The album should be listened to in whole as with most Floyd albums. Any how, Dark Side Of The Moon is the best. |
