I think this song is about a couple who break up and the song is his response when she tries to get him to take her back (as if she told him that they would be perfect next time around). He's actually being rather harsh...but he does it in such a nice way. He makes it perfectly clear he has changed and that the only place they'll be lovers in the future is in her dreams.

Siva is another spelling of Shiva which is the seven day mourning period observed by the Jewish when a close family member dies. I think the song is about a guy losing his temper and starting a fight with his girlfriend or wife and he's feeling bad about it so "I don't live - I inhale" (marijuana). It seems like he thinks she's using his guilt to get something so he just wants to know what she's after so he can get the whole situation over with faster, but he also lets her know that he won't be used - "I don't give - I unveil." |

I think Billy was venting a lot of frustrations in this one. The world is one big rat race and despite the fact that he knows this and he hates and it enfuriates him, he's still playing the game (in the cage). He hides what he really feels and keeps on going. "Someone will say what is lost can never be saved ," I think he's talking about his soul. You lose your soul if you play the game and even though he wants to change it, he'll take it all like Job, but still doesn't think it'll be enough to save his soul. |

I know this is WAY off base compared to what everyone else seems to think, but taking into account the way songs were named I think it's about a junkie. Addicts live for their drugs and you use a needle to shoot up heroin. The high takes him up to the gates of heaven, he finds peace through it and it gives him everything (feelings) he has, and the "touch" isn't enough (the high doesn't last long enough). |
