From the scrapped 'Songs From the Black Hole' concept album, this just seems to be about a guy and a girl who have previously had a 'thing' together, and the girl's been screwed around by someone so goes to the guy for comfort. He is just saying that he's there for her but only as a friend. |

I think most people can probably relate to it. I feel that its about a guy who became good friends with a girl, possibly fell for her, but the feeling is not reciprocal. Therefore he feels strongly about the element of "rejection" when she stops calling him, and slightly paranoid, e.g,
"Who have you been seeing
That made you forget me?
I bet you call him"
He then feels bitter as he is alone, and questions her commitment with the final lines, but despite this, he is still in love with her. |

Fantastic song, does sound sorta whiny but I think its supposed to show insecurities and obviously the desire for that someone to "hold me". |
